| - biography - the idea of moons of jupiter was formed somwhere in the frigid bostonian air of januray 2002. it was to be a band that played loud music and quiet music simultaneously, the dynamic intensity following every subtle curve of the emotional subtext, transforming a gentle compassion into a certain honest brutality between one beat and the next - a band that takes several simple musical colors and combines them into a complex and intricate soundscape. no matter the current size or shape of the band, be it; full rock band, solo acoustic guitar/voice, string quartet, guitar/marimba duo, or synth ensemble, the passion of vocalist {and songsmith}, christopher clayton holt, is the string of cohesiveness that runs throughout moons of jupiter. in just over seven years, moons of jupiter has released nine records, and performed all over the united states, in such city's as boston MA, portsmouth NH, dillsburg PA, toledo OH, chicago IL, and denver CO. |
