| He's been called a lot of things, such as "the Walt Disney of Japanese Animation", but one thing is always true: he's one of the best story-tellers of our time. Miyazaki has made a number of movies that inspire, entertain, and even make us laugh or cry. His colleages and Studio Ghibli have also made many wonderful movies, but I will focus on Miyazaki himself. Growing up, he was never sure what he wanted to do, but after being inspired by animators as a young adult, he grew to love animation more and more. His first movie was Castle of Cagliostro, and every movie since has been a chart-topper in Japan as well as America. For the last few years he always said that he would retire, but he's just too full of new ideas to stop any time soon. And honestly, I think we all hope that he'll keep creating. |
