| Fruits Basket is about a family that lives with an evil curse: each one of them is possessed by an animal of the Chinese Zodiac, and whenever they're hugged by a member of the opposite sex, they transform into that animal. Obviously this leads many of them to live in seclusion, becaue they're afraid of people finding out their secret. However, one day an innocent, kind girl named Tohru Honda, accidently walks into their lives, and from then on everything is different. Each member of the family she is able to help in some way, and at times the series can be very sad and dramatic, but in the end Tohru's optimism and hope are able to heal everyone. This series is a very popular shojo manga and an anime series. |
