Before you read why i really put this page up for i must tell you that what i feel about what happened at Columbine High School should have not happened. Some innocent people died who still had their lives to live to the fullest extent of their abilities & they never got that chance, & to me thats very sad.

Now to begin. What the Columbine shooters(Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold) did was wrong...very wrong. They should have taken their anger & targeted it somewhere else that a school. I dont know where but not a school.

What the media has done is also very sad. They had knee-jerk reactions about the Columbine shooting & blamed the most logical(as in the logic of a 2 year old with only half a brain) thing they cound think of.....& what did they blame....they blamed Goths & the Gothic subculture. When i first herd about this i was mad as hell...but then over time(a few weeks) i realized that its not their fault for their knee-jerk reactions to the Columbine shooting. The media will show just about anything on television that will get them the most ratings, weather they did their research based on facts or not.

The media also blamed everything in society that has some measure of violence in it on Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killing 12 students & 1 teacher. The media blamed movies, games(specifically DOOM), the internet, music, & whatever else they could pull out of their asses at the time.

By what the Media says that causes violence in todays teenagers & kids, i should have already gone on some kind of massive killing spree. I watch movies & Tv programs with violence in them. I play games with violence in them. I played DOOM for a while. I listen to music the media classifys as viloence inducing. I am on the internet. But have i gone on some kind of massive killing spree....NO i have not.

The closest thing that i came to killing stuff(in real life) was useing my BB gun in my grandpas backyard as a little kid shooting BBs at birds(I was always a bad shot with a BB gun, i always missed the birds by a foot or 2 so i never really killed any girds). I've been playing violent video games ever since i was a kid. My first experience was playing Mario Brothers & jumping on things so Mario wouldnt die. Mario Brothers would be consider violent because when he jumps on guys in the game, they die. I also been watching violent movies for as long as i can remember & i dont go around killing things.

For Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold(also know as the "Trench Coat Mafia") to seriously make plans to kill people & then to blow up their school.. They got to be searously mentally disterbed(ie mentally ill) in the first place. Just because someone watches stuff on TV, plays video games, goes on the internet, or listens to music does not automaticly make them killers. If those were the requirements for someone to be a killer, then the United States of America would have tens of millions of(posibility over 100 million) killers on the loose & total chaos would be raging through the U.S.A. right now.

One thing that i found out from watching all the interviews on the TV of students at Coulmbine was that the students said that Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were picked on at school, they were called "fag" among many other names, because they were different(ie they wore trench coats & black every day to school, & as far as i know didnt paricipate in school activities or tried to fit in the "popular croud") & didnt want to be what society deams as "normal." I could understand of what might helped Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold to kill.

Just imagen if you were picked on a daily basis & called demening names multiple times each day, from day to day through out your life attending school, from the "popular croud/kids" &/or bullies at school just because you were a little different(dressed differently or whatnot) &/or just because you were a little smarter than most people your age...

You would be purposly excluded from everything from early child hood at school & growing up..you would naturally close your self off from the harmfull things in your life & try not to associate(ie stay away) from what was causing you harm, just like...if your hand would be hit with boiling water...your natural reflex isto pull your hand away from the boiling water(what was causing you harm). I dont condone Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killing those 13 people at Columbine, but i can understand what might drove them to kill.

Now what i find really disterbing about the whole Coulmbine shooting incident(aside from 13 innocent people dieing) is that the Media blamed a whole group of people(nation wide) for the incident of 2 lone sick & twisted individuals... just becasuse they(Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold along with the Trench Coat Mafia) dressed similar to Goths, does not make them Goths. Thats like claiming every white person on Earth is a racist or Earth is the center of the universe, which is not true.
