11.1: All writing undertaking shall be a joint venture. The muse will provide the ideas; the author will provide the words and the focus. The author will listen to the muse at all times, lest the idea become twisted from its original intent, and the muse will abide by the author's interpretation and choices, lest all beer be replaced by cheap and poor quality American beers.
22.1: The author will provide in her mind room, board, and beer for the muse -- as well as whatever luxuries he demands (within reason). The muse will refrain from mucking around in the parts of the mind where he should not be. (Any answers he cares to give for Trivial Pursuit are welcome.)
33.1: The author and muse both agree that all writing will be beta read
with the following exceptions:
a. short challenges
b. writing where a beta is specifically forbidden, such as a lyric wheel
44.1: PWP ("Plot? What Plot?") writing will be avoided at all costs. Ideally, any story over 100K will have at least one argument and one death (preferably beheading).
55.1: The author shall never write either herself or her original female character into a sexual relationship with one of the major canon characters (in Highlander: Duncan MacLeod, Methos, Joe Dawson, Richie Ryan, or Amanda Last-Name-Optional) to prevent said character from becoming easily associated or dismissed as 'just another Mary Sue.'
66.1: The author may solicit the services of another muse so long as all muses can co-exist and so long as the incoming muse signs the same muse/author agreement as the previous muses.
77.1: Any disagreements about the above policy will be decided by a
one of the following methods:
a. verbal attacks based on personality and/or past mistakes
b. "are not"/"are to" or "did not"/"did to" arguments
c. rational discussion (only as a last resort)
