In our first year in Japan(I was about 12 or 13), on the first Girl's Day, Mom and I somehow ended up in kimonos. I forget all the details, but there was a group of ladies in a room and they put us in kimonos and took pictures. I believe it was the only time I was ever in full kimono while there. The pictures were taken inside, but when I came across some nice picture of Japanese gardens, I figured it was time to let them into the light.
I think the proportions are fairly good, I just wish the edges were smoother, but as I said, this was before I learned that. |
