Episode One -
Tohru Honda was a totally average girl living with her mom (Kyoko Honda) and going to high-school but her mother, unfortunatly, got in a car crash and passed away. She goes to live with her grandfather but other relatives were going to move in as well, so he decided to have the house get some remodeling. He asked her if she had a freind she could stay with but she didn't want to burden her two freinds, (Arisa Uotani and Saki Hanajima) so she came up with the idea that she should just live in a tent for a while.
She unknowingly decides to live in a forest owned by the Sohma's and one morning stumbles across an old-fashioned house. She sees some zodiac things on his porch and looks at them when the owner of the house came out. It turns out he's Shigure Sohma and the prince of her high-school lived there too, Yuki Sohma.
Soon afterwords Shigure and Yuki find out she was living in a tent, but there was a landslide on her tent and she stays at their house while Yuki get's her things (Namely her mother's photograph).
Yuki and Shigure decide to let her live there on the condition that she will be their new housekeeper. Yuki leads her to her new room and when they get there a whole is kicked through the roof and boy comes too, Kyou Sohma.
He immediatly insults Yuki and goes to punch him in the face but Tohru, in a desperate attempt to stop the fighting, jumps towards him, tripping and hugging him.
There is a loud "poof" sound and colorful smoke appears. Shigure pokes his head in and Tohru starts apoligizing to Kyou only to see an orange cat. She jumps up and a board falls on her head making her fall on Yuki and Shigure, emitting two more "poofs" and more colorful smoke.
Kyou has turned into a cat, Yuki a rat, and Shigure is a dog...
