Merp. Yes, I'm alive. I've been slacking off on Zafi's site, but mercifully, it's done now. I'm only going to advertise it once I'm done, though. Got anything you want to say or send in? Go for it!
I'm hanging onto a pre-made layout until I can get PSP 7 again. I think I'll put off putting things like Ask Zafirah up till I have a solid web site going. If you have a question you'd want answered (Should I wear a bedsheet or a toga to a talent show?), let me know!
Now, I'm sure you're tired of the Zafirah-player rambling. Without further ado, let me begin. As I said, I've lost all of the logs I've had, and so on. Which really tees me off, but hey. Who wants to see a 200lb muscle bound woman in a white robe? Uh huh. I thought so. ;) But I do have to make a few comments here about Zafi.
When I first made Zafirah, she was a lot more stoic and intelligent. A lot like my first PC on a MUSH (ever!), Sophia. Whoops. Her background was also pretty shoddy, and a little uncanon in some parts. Double whoops. But I was in a hurry! So, came descing. Okay, it came down to playing Thuraya, her older sister (Smart, tall, willowy build...), Zafirah (Big, tall, kinda simple.), or Sensura (Ditzy. Hee!). I went with Zafirah because it seemed wiser to play a PC that wouldn't grate on anyone's nerves. Thus, Zafirah came into being.
When I found out that Search had rolled around (I've played on AltPern games, and Yahoo RPs, but never a Pern MU*.), I was a bit uneasy and excited. I've never had a PC Impress. So I figured I'd give it a shot. And did! Zafirah was Searched by Kayjay, and Suriath. Unfortunately, she smelled ... Tanner-y. Brains, tannin and other unpleasant things don't make ya smell like roses, do they? Happily, Kayjay loaned her some scented sweetsand, and unless Zafirah helps with tanning, she's generally stink-free. Horray, sweet sand! And horray, not being tossed out of the barracks! Zafirah's Candidacy was wild, and since I was only a few days new to the game (!), I had a lot of people to have Zafirah meet. As she socialized, I realized there were /plenty/ of stoic folks. And, Zafirah began to melt into the golden retriever-esque woman she is today (Thanks Rajazad!). But I ramble. I should save most of this for the site, not the bleedin' front page. :P Ahem. I play Zafirah at SouCon, and she's Weyrling to Season's Mantle Brown Callenth. They're quite the duo, I hear. Also, regaurding Zafi's World, over there on the left... That's a bit of IC and OOC things I thought might be fun to have around. Ask Zafirah is just what it sounds like, in the vein of advice columns like Ask Abby. Ever want to know Zafi's take on relationships? Need advice on whether to chase that rider or not? Ask!. Also, the Link of the Moment is one randomly picked from my bookmarks, or whatever I think of at the moment. I'll change it whenever I update, so there you have it (Links will stay up at least a day or two, though.). But hey, if you're really eager to be up there, drop me a note.
Also, I'm taking care of time/seasonal foo on Ierne, so if you need to prod me on that, go for it. However, this week and next, I have 15+ hours of testing and graduation foo to deal with, so if I am a bit slow, and brain dead, do forgive me. I might take on another job, but scenesetting/seasonal/time stuff is one of my favorite things to do! ;) C'mon, every brownrider's got a fixation and you know it. Unfortunately, my slightly 'choppy action' sort of writing doesn't lend well to certain desc tasks, and asking around, my room descs... Well, I have no idea, but I'll do more as I get settled out of testing, dorm arrangements (Yes, hopefully I will have a new PC and Ethernet!), graduation and things. Till then, feel free to poke me for anything you may need. I might set up a guestbook when I get my lazy butt to do it.
