When the Principality of Zeon began its "Unified Maintenence Plan", the MS-14A Gelgoog was redesigned and became the MS-14Jg Gelgoog Jäger. The upgrade improved many of the Gelgoog's systems such as thrusters and overall maneuverability. The Jäger was also equipped with a much more powerful Beam "Sniper" Rifle. Due to late deployment, the Gelgoog Jäger saw limited action during the One Year War.
