When the Principality of Zeon began its "Unified Maintenence Plan", the MS-06F Zaku II was redesigned and became the MS-06FZ Zaku II. The upgrade improved many of the Zaku II's systems such as thrusters and overall maneuverability. Due to late deployment, the Zaku II saw limited action during the One Year War.
