One of the earliest Mobile Armor designs, the Adzam was designed for ground use and was equipped with a Minovsky system which allowed it to hover in the air. The Azzam was able to attack from all directions using its 8 Mega Particle Guns while on the ground or in the air. The Azzam was also armed with an experimental weapon called a Leader. When launched, part of the Leader would explode, releasing a highly conductive substance that covered the target while the rest of the Leader would anchor itself in the ground and fire an electric charge at the target. This would trap the target as well as immobilize and slowly destroy it. This weapon was used against the RX-78-2 Gundam and almost destroyed it until charged substance wore off and the Gundam was able to escape. After it's escape, it crippled the Adzam, proving it wasn't a great a weapon as expected.
Note: The Leaders mentioned here appear to be similar to a weapon used by the MA-06 Val Varo in its battle with the RX-78GP01Fb in UC 0083. Perhaps this weapon is an improved version of the Leaders used by the Adzam.
