The largest and most powerful Mobile Armor, the Big Zam was developed by the Principality of Zeon and used in an attempt to stop the Earth Federation invasion fleet at A Baoa Qu. Using its Mega Particle Gun, the Big Zam was able to destroy capital ships one after another as well as wiping out large groups of Mobile Suits. The small Mega Particle Cannons around the waist of the Big Zam allowed it to fire at targets anywhere around it. The one thing that made the Big Zam almost invincible was its I-Field Barrier which blocked all beam weapons from hitting it. It's destruction came about when the RX-78-2 Gundam was able to penetrate the I-Field and attack it at close range.
