King of the Dwarf realm of Ludin, Harkon has lived most of his life inside his castle. Having never seen battle his subjects do not think highly of him. Before he becomes too old to weild an axe, Harkon desires much to fight an epic battle for glory or death. He gets his chance when Vlad and his Guardians seek passage through his kingdom. Harkon agrees to let them pass, but only if he can join them. In fact Harkon is chosen as a Guardian and joins the group. Along with him he brings several legions of Dwarf warriors to join the fight.
Harkon may have never seen action on the battlefiled but he is still a skilled warrior. As a Dwarf he has great strength and vitality and he also possesses several magical items that allow him to cast some spells. Not enjoying his life as a King has given Harkon a death wish. But only after obtaining great glory in battle, so that he may travel to the great halls of the afterlife. He hopes to accomplish this as a Guardian.
