Along with his long time partner, Davon Jobe, Gilfodor has become a mercenary. Spending much of his time in town inns, looking for work, getting drunk, and hitting on barmaids. While at an Agamarian bar Gilfodor and Davon are confronted by Vlad, Minos, and Tobias. When told of Vlad's quest, Gilfodor burst into laughter and told the "kid" to get lost. Giving a few insults to Tobias and Minos as well. Undeterred Minos offered to pay them for their services once they reached the Crystal Isle. Never turning down a good job Gilfodor and Davon accepted the offer and joined the group.

Gilfodor is an incredible warrior, he is small for a giant but in the land of men he towers above all. He uses more brute force than swordsmanship, wielding his halberd much like a club. He has never been defeated by anyone and doesn't intend on losing anytime soon. He has no knowledge of magic and doesn't really use his head much, that's Davon's job. Caring little for what happens in the world, Gilfodor seeks only glory in combat and vast riches. He doesn't care about Vlad either but will protect him to the best of his ability. Whether he will change his attitude about the world during this journey is yet to be seen.
