Fleeing the battle Daos made his way back to his home village, only to find the village in ruins and his wife and child dead. Alone and devastated by all that he lost, Daos made his way to the northern kingdoms to warn them of the coming attacks. During his journey north, Daos slowly lost control of his mind. With only the images of death to occupy his thoughts and the mental anguish to keep him company, Daos was quite insane when he finally reached the Kingdom of Almoen.

While attempting to get inside Kirson castle to warn the king, Daos was arrested and taken to a prison mental ward. There he stayed for ten years, lost inside his own grief. It wasn't until the day when Vlad received his premonition to visit the prison that Daos would walk free again. While Vlad and his company walked past his cell, Daos cried out and grabbed Alyssa, a princess of Almoen, mistaking her as a vision of his dead wife. Vlad, convinced that Daos was who he was searching for arranged for Daos' release. For an unknown reason Daos did not feel as sick as he once was as he told his sad tale to Vlad and his companions. After hearing of Vlad's quest Daos quickly agreed to become part of the group.

Daos is an incredible warrior, drawing upon all of his hate of the Chaotics he fights with no mercy. Very few have the ability to defend him, and he may cause fear in weak opponents. Outside of battle he is quiet and withdrawn for most of the time, seeming to most as cold and menacing. But within his outer shell lies a kind heart, which shows through ever so slightly. His support of Vlad shows this hidden quality with much surprise. As one of the most devout of the protectors Daos will stand beside Vlad through any situation. Hopefully, in time, he will regain control of his mind and be more of the man he once was.
