Daughter of King Kirson, ruler of the kingdom of Almoen. Since she could read, Allyssa was trained in the ways of magical arts. If not for her father's wishes she would rather be at the Mage Academy on the Crystal Isle. However this has not slowed her learning much, as the king had personal tutors from the Academy visit Allyssa regularly. On her 17th birthday she received a very unique gift, a magical staff wrought by the Grand Wizard himself. This is her most beloved possession and a deadly one at that. The staff has much versatility in the amount of spells charged in it, though it is mostly based on the element of lightning.
Allyssa would love nothing more than to leave Castle Kirson and go off on an adventure. Not only to escape her tedious life of royalty, but to put her skills as a mage to the test. She gets her chance when Vlad visits Castle Kirson following up on one of his premonitions. After an audience with the king, Vlad and his protectors are ordered to accompany a legion of soldiers to a battle with the Chaotics. Allyssa aproaches them in secret and expresses her wishes to go with them. Vlad's premonitions prove correct again as another member joins the party.
Allyssa is very skilled with magic, but has absolutely no experience using it in battle. Living inside castle walls she could only practice on dummies. Her melee skills can help her fend off an attacker for a while, but she must use her magic to be able to defeat a foe. She cares for her friends and views the world outside with a sense of wonder, much like Vlad. She views Vlad as a sweet kid, but is unsure if she would give her life to save his. Though betrothed to a prince of Agamar, she has hopes of finding a great warrior on this journey that she could marry.
