Welcome

to my Peugeot page.

This page has some info about the 504 Peugeot (a.k.a the Lumix) that I used to own. I got it from Liam (a mate of mine) for the huge price of $0. This thing was indestructible, it was shown no mercy, the engine even ran out of oil once we just filled it up again and kept using it. Most of the body damage was done before I got it.
The engine was a 2lt fuel injected pushrod motor that could pull 6-7000rpm all day long, coupled to a 4-speed gearbox. This car had the smoothest ride of any car that I have rode in, thanks to its independent rear suspension. It is also the only car that I know of, that can get its power to the ground (i.e. Get traction) on wet grass.

The pics below were taken the day before I sold it, with a Polaroid camera, so the quality isn’t that great.

This is the front of the peug. The damage is from a stray pellet of pavers. Apparently Liam was doing some doughies in the backyard and forgot about the pavers. His dad came running out of the toilet with his pants around his ankles to see what happened when he heard the noise.

This is a view of the driver’s side, which is relatively undamaged.

This car had so much rust in the boot you could see the ground when you opened the lid.

Liam and I used to collect firewood (whole trees) with this car. We would drive around the bush looking for trees the council had cut down, and left behind. We would then back up to the tree and tie a chain around it and the tow bar on the peug, and then we would drag the tree back home. Some of these trees were between 20 and 30ft long. One day we came across a council ute parked just off the track, between the ute and us there was a tree that had just been cut down. Further off in the bush was the council worker cutting down another tree. Anyway we decide we wanted the tree next to us on the ground. So Liam made sure the other bloke wasn’t looking while I hooked the tree up to the car (he couldn’t here us over his chain saw anyway), then we hopped in and took off. I don’t know if the worker saw us or not, but he probably still hasn’t figured out where his bloody tree got toJ.

This is what happens when that tree you’re trying to get past at high speed is actually closer than it appears. The front left door never worked properly after that.

I sold this car to a bloke in Woodend, who wanted the gearbox out of it, for $100. I miss this carL.
