Peace . . . Tara and Tysha are Luminous Flux, which may be defined as a creative collaboration of feminine energy, willing to express intuitive perception lyrically and socially. Luminous Flux' reality began in 1972, a time before Hip Hop existed, onward to cultivate descriptions of the past and present, only to imagine what the future is likely to be, given their current circumstance. It is this type of thinking, that life, art, and experience are all creative thought, producing the format for the Flux to be trailblazers.

The Nursery is where the ideas are conceived but that isn't where it all began. In 1994, the ladies found themselves on the rebound from previous individual musical associations. Tara and Tysha decided that they were stronger together than they were apart. They were putting themselves in a position of having to depend on others. The duo wrote their own rhymes but didn't have the equipment to bring those ideas into the light. Realizing that involvement in their own creation was paramount, equal to that of writing their own lyrics, they set out on a mission of building on knowledge, experience, and resources to enhance their projects. Their understanding is that one must manifest her position to advance. Their lives are human resources and the level of advancement depends on the energy behind their ideas.

Working with a family of producers commands that they challenge their flows, taking mental notes, as they control the session, is a learning experience within itself. As they say, "knowledge is power," and they cannot help but expand when they are focused on the same goal, sharing wisdom.

Influences? The ladies say that there are just too many to name. "It's important to see that what was before us influence what is to be." As they progress, the Luminous will continue to be influenced by the evolution of life itself. Considering the repetitive nature of the industry, the Flux is definitely bringing something to the open ear.
