Advice to those who are perplexed, from someone who has encountered similar perplexities and found some answers in the process.
Featured Dilemma:
How do I teach my children about God?
Dear Tania,

The answer lies in your  last question?   You have to start with yourself.   If you prayed to God as a child, begin again.   Ask him for direction and advice.   Above all, if you have slipped morally, start with the Ten Commandments.   Meditate on them and put them into practice.    Get some books that appeal to you.    It would also be a help to mix with other people who are on the spiritual path, so perhaps you could try going to church or join a group of people who are interested in similar things.
At the same time, begin to teach your children,.  According to their age, teach them to be kind towards others,  not to tell lies or do other things which they are prone to.    It may also be a good ideas to read them bedtime stories with a moral.   There are many of those around in bookstores.
Teach them also about a good God who loves and cares about them.
Remember, that Rome wasn't built in a day, so be patient with your children and yourself.

God bless.

Lucy
I have always been a fearful person.  Afraid of burglars, ghosts, war and many other things.   Now I have two young children and am afraid of passing on my fears to them.   I used to go to church as a child and found comfort in praying when afraid.   I would like to teach my children to know God, so they would be able to turn to Him with their problems and fears, but don't know where to start.   How can I give them something that I haven't got myself.?

You feel weak, helpless, betrayed, because you still do not use the power of prayer in your life.   According to the zeal of your prayer you will be powerful.

Many people complain that they have become playthings of the dark forces.  I say to them:   You do not pray, that is why the darkness has so much power over you.

Whoever does not pray, falls into judgment.   That is the punishment which strikes all who despise My will.

Who still prays?   He is powerful against all darkness.
