Healing With Celestial Reiki . . .

"In Perfect Love & Perfect Trust"

"If you want to heal the body, you must first heal the mind."--Plato

Even as a child, I knew there was something wrong with western medicine. I refused to go to doctors at my parents' insistence, and I even ran away from home at one point to avoid them. Instinctively I knew they were full of it!

...
Illness is not necessarily a bad thing. According to Dr. Edward Bach, Dr. Louise L. Hay, & many other holistic practitioners, the presence of an illness implies conflict between the Higher Self & the lower personality; when the soul is in need of something & the personality rejects it, a person suffers from a mental-spiritual conflict & becomes ill. Therefore, sickness is sent to us to speed our personal growth & it is actually benevolent in nature. It can bring us back to the path of understanding.

The ability to heal ourselves is innate. But in these hectic times we can easily lose touch with ourselves, our bodies & our spirits. Sometimes we need a little help in relaxing to help heal ourselves. Thats what I do... I help you heal yourself (and no one can heal you but YOU). Natural healing is a valuable, effective tool in helping mend our lives & over stress, trauma, addictions, depression & other painful conditions. I offer a gentle, non-invasive approach to mending body, mind & spirit using positive healing energy and/or BodyMind/Spiritual counseling in a peaceful, sacred space.

What is Reiki?

In my own personal experience, I have decided that Reiki is a divine healing energy projected with loving intent. But to get a bit more detailed, here's the traditional explanation that most teachers of Reiki will tell you:

All living things have an energy or life force that keeps them going. This life force is known as Ki in Japanese (also known as Chi or Prana). Reiki is a Japanese relaxation & stress-relief technique that facilitates healing by using the Universal Life Force. It was revealed a century ago by Mikao Usui (Usui Sensei), who then passed it on through a lineage. When ill or stressed, Ki levels in the body are decreased & out of balance. The Reiki Master practitioner has been initiated & trained to channel this energy, pass it on to the recipient, & increase or balance out the bodys existing Ki. Each Reiki practitioner is slightly different in approach. I have been trained in the Usui Shiki Ryoho method.

Unlike many other healing modalities, Reiki begins healing at the root of the problem (which is usually mental), and does not merely treat the symptom. It works from the inside out. When one merely treats a symptom, it is likely to return. A person can mow over dandelions again and again, but they will always return unless the root is treated.

What can I expect from a session?

I offer a 20-minute session which focuses on the major energy centers, or a one-hour session which also includes the minor energy centers. Every Reiki practitioner puts their own spin on things, and I call my treatments "Celestial Reiki", based on a Rosicrucian ascension meditation I do during the session. Treatments take place on a massage table, fully clothed, but with shoes off. During the treatment, I place my hands lightly in various positions on your body, including the head, chest, stomach, legs & feet.

You may close your eyes if you wish, meditate or even go to sleep. Each persons reaction to the energy is different. You may feel a burning, tingling, or flood of energy coursing through your body, odd sensations in certain areas, or even nothing at all. You may see colors or patterns. Most clients use the words spacey, floaty, or buzzing to describe the overall experience, but the comment I always hear from the client is that they felt a deep sense of relaxation. This is essential to begin the healing process. You may feel the need for an emotional release or to discuss something personal. These things are all perfectly acceptable. Sometimes I will pick up names, sensations or other things from you, because I often get random psychic information. I will tell you when I do. But don't be concerned. You are in a sacred space. You are safe.

How often do I need treatment?

If you come to a session to be rid of a minor affliction, such as stress, one session should do the trick. However, if you have a more serious problem, repeated sessions are recommended, since Reiki begins working at the root of the problem. Serious problems have more serious causes and will take longer to heal. Some people just like a regular "recharging." It never hurts to receive a treatment, even when you think you dont need it. It just feels great & usually leaves you with a tremendous sense of peace & love.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT HEALING

I don't claim to be a healer. I claim to be a healing facilitator. That means I put you on the healing path to heal yourself. If you've got a tumor, Reiki is not a magic bullet which will fix it in one shot. You grew that tumor, you have to ungrow it yourself. The first step is by taking responsibility for your current state of health. I can be obnoxiously honest in regard to responsibility. Your higher self knows what makes you sick; all you have to do is listen and stop ignoring yourself. There are many factors that you must take into consideration when it comes to health: The quality of the air, liquid and food you put in your body; the efficiency of the organs which expel waste; the way you move your body to keep in shape; your lifestyle choices; your emotional and spiritual habits and attitudes; and your genetics. Regardless, YOU are responsible for YOU, and you can create a healthy body, mind and spirit if you CHOOSE to do so. If you'd like some tips (tips you may not want to hear), I am more than happy to provide them.

How much does it cost?

Many energy workers charge anywhere from $50 to $80 for an hour session. In this troubled world today, I feel that healing & relaxation should be available & affordable to all who need & desire it. My Reiki lineage is the same as those jokers who charge $10,000 for Master Level training, so don't worry about my inexpensive prices. The sessions I offer are $45 per hour. Twenty minute sessions are $25. I accept cash or checks but, unfortunately, I cannot accept credit cards or file insurance claims. If you still are unable to afford a session, don't worry. We can work out a fair trade. I would never deny healing opportunities to anyone because of their financial situation.

So, what if I dont entirely believe in this stuff?

Thats okay. I believe in it enough for both of us.

What else do I need to know?

Before a home session, I may ask you to sign a waiver saying that you know I am not a medical doctor & that you will not sue me if you get hit by a car, contract HIV a year from now, have an emotional breakdown, or get chiggers. Like a medical doctor, I cannot guarantee healing. That is up to you. The only person who can truly heal you is you. I am merely a healing facilitator. What I can promise you, however, is relaxation & stress reduction during and following the treatment.

Just in case you were wondering, I am not available for massage, seances, voodoo, or tupperware parties. I have not been abducted by aliens. I do not talk to space people. I do not channel Jane Roberts. Im just someone who has dedicated my life to helping others. I want to help you help yourself. I love the work because it makes me happy. I hope it makes you happy, too.

What If I Want To Learn Reiki Myself?

I provide traditional Reiki training at very affordable prices. Each level is $95. I also teach Reiki I & II intensives for $150, and they usually take place mid-week. Why am I able to teach classes at such bargain basement prices? Because I don't make you spend unnecessary hours, weeks and years practicing under my supervision. I trust you to do that on your own. And believe me, I will ask you point blank how your practice is going.

Here is what you will learn at each level:

Level One (3-5 hours): The origin of illness and the Body/Mind connection; what Reiki is and how it works; the history of Reiki; why there are so many different Reiki schools; the hand placements; the Reiki principles; self-healing technique; what you should be feeling and experiencing during Reiki transmission; plus you'll receive four attunements and a certificate.

Level Two (2-3 hours): What symbols are and how to use them; the first three Reiki symbols; distant healing; two attunements and certificate.

Level Three (3 hours): What a master is; the two final symbols; how to pass attunements yourself.

A NOTE ON MASTER LEVEL: When I teach Master level to someone, I must insist that the student be as healthy as they'd like their clients to be. Master level practitioners should be prepared to teach Reiki themselves. Make sure you are physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally ready to call youself a healing facilitator.

I am healthy-- physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I am not a therapist who is in therapy. I've never even had a regular doctor, because I AM the doctor of my life, every day. I FEEL GREAT and I LOVE LIFE!

If interested in becoming a practitioner, feel free to contact me. Please provide a little background on yourself and explain why you wish to practice Reiki. A Reiki session with me before teaching is recommended, but not required.

Also, recommended reading for all students and clients is Liber Ignis. Please refer to table of contents page for ordering information, or pick up a copy at a class or session.
