Strolling Anight
I strolled out anight
Thus all was bright
The rain had cleared from the sky
From last fortnight
For long I had not sought
And forgotten the thought
Now I can clearly see the myriad stars
As the open nights affection appears to breathe
It lay hid under consuming clouds
Now they stir in the sky
In a heavenly sea all around
Even the faintest light I can sense
Nothing from my eyes and ears does veer
I see them shine as white pearls of perfection
They of the sky are the children endeared
I am so seemingly small but yet a part
A humbled reflection of their art
Still I am below their home
Wandered and lost so longingly lonely
I remember many peaceful past acquaintances
My dear dark companion of elation
Should I not forget to recall the wonder
To stroll with each night
Alongside a hanging moon
