Basic Button layout
What should a good button look like? Well, there's loads of kinds of buttons, but here's one:
It's only a basic layout, so you can add cool stuff onto it.
For the website name:
Try to make it "fade" into the background especaily if the text is light. This technique works well if your site is a "magic kiss" site.
Don't use a font like redensek or arial if your site is supposed to be fun! i reccomend cheri and cheri liney.
Keep the size reasonable.
If the site is supposed a html help site, with stuff like kk.com, then use a font that looks neat. Try underlining it or putting a box around for more effects.
If your site is a "punk" site, then a font like Astigma in red or black looks nice.
The desc of your site:
Hmmm... im no genius in this section, but be real. Only put good stuff about your site and stuff that's there. To spice it up, you can add things that will be there in a few days or whatever. Don't forget, if you do use that tactic then don't forget to mention the "nearly latest" update in your blog. People may even read/comment then!
Random hints/tips:
Don't add too many things. But don't leave anythign out! Here's a good idea, everytime you have an idea, make a new document and try it out. if you like the idea, then you can delete the other one or use that as a tester ;D
Try to use a color scheme. So all your fonts will be ____(blue maybe?) and your brushes will be _____(gold?) and your background can be patterned in ____ (orange?) See my color go-wells for help for more.
If you want a solid background color, then try adding a few (transparent or fading?) brushes in. Alter the size to make it look "in the background"
Keep the size between 179,79 and 267,98.
If you change the layout often, try to have a matching button for each layout.
Crop an image's background that you like, and use that as your button backgrund. Don't forget to give credit!
