Register your site in a search engine like Google or Yahoo!
Comment on people's blog, then they will have to look at your site to make sure it is suitable for plugging.
Make friends with the owner of the site and ask if they can plug you.
Advertise on neo chat and Star Struck boards
If your big on neopoints, then post on the neo notice board
Post on tag boards and leave msgs on Guestbook's. But don't write 'Nice site visit mine' because that will just get your entry/post deleted. Actually look at the owner's content � they must of spent ages on it, and you want them to look at yours, right?
Send emails to your friends, telling people about your site
Ask your friends to tell their friends, and then they will tell their friends and so on.
Promise to plug commenters.
Think of something unique, rare or special about your site. Use this as bait to make your visitors come in. Often, when telling people about my site, I use these unique points. (E.g. "It's made by a ten year old!" or "Persuade your parents, over 200 pages etc.") Also, try and get your wording right. Don't talk in slang, always use punctuation and separate your different points with a new paragraph or line breaks. I'm no expert on this section though :/
For every nice comment that you receive, comment two nice comments. It'll help bring visitors to your site, it's original (which is great in a website), it's nice and it can be turned into a clique, lol. So basically it's like a "Do a favor to my blog, and I'll do a favor to two other blog's" I really like this idea because its original, easy for people to join and it helps loads of sites! I definitely recommend this as long as you say where you got your idea from lol
Offer to add a link spree (or whatever) every ______ so that people will keep checking back for the big plug (link spree or whatever) every ______.
