Before Shopping
No matter what your style is, your clothes should be wearable, warm in winter and cooling in summer. There's no need to ask a 'specialist' what colours go well, you or a friend should be able to decide. With your exsisting clothes, first: decide what you want to keep and don't. Fix anything that you're giving away, and mend anything you are keeping. Next, match up what will go with what. Anything that hasn't got a 'partner' then write down, you could use list when going shopping. Always check how much money you have, and try to keep a budget so you don't buy a coat and no matching shoes! Make sure: You know your size, style, colour etc.
Basic Wardrobe
First, you'll need: undergarments (bra, knickers etc.) Next, a WHITE blouse, a BLACK blouse and a beige/pale blouse. These will go with anything, so it's useful to have them. Next, a short skirt (black), tights and a matching cardigan. Finally: Belts, gloves, bags, shoes, hats umbrellas etc. Don't forget a long skirt, maybe in a shade of red. This is your basic set! Of course you could add a pink top that would go with the skirt or a yellow vest top to go with the red skirt? Also, for winter, tracksuits with stripes should match the colour of the top :) Tartan skirts with beige boots and matching top is the perfect match, and the black jacket/coat for cold days.
