Write your own read
What is a Read?
A read is an amusing article published on somebodies site. The purpose of a read? To amuse and entertain you. Reads often play a big role in keeping the visitor occupied, yet they must be gripping. Reads are about a paragraph long, can be in the form of bullet points though, and can have a certain background mood. Such as, a rant, polite, persuasive etc. So I've gathered a list of tips to help you!

What to write about
This is something that everybody sometimes gets stuck on. But no need to worry. First, it must be aimed at a particular age group, usually helps if it's yours - you know what you and your mates like! Also, something realistic, that people will use! Make the title/link name catchy, make people want to click it! Also, aviod touchy subjects such as death etc. but don't be afraid to go onto a contreversial subject, seeing as feedback will flow!

How to write
Of course, nobody can chose your style, but bear in mind that there are a few pointers. Have you ever written an article for a magazine or e-zine before? How about submitted an article to the Neopian news? Well, it's the same as that. Include humor, links, graphics (if appliable) and of course write in a formal way. Don't come on too strong, introduce your subject etc. If you're writing about products that you're not sure are international, then maybe research would help.

Putting your article together
This is the key point - how your article looks. Always start with an intro, give an insight to what the subject is about. Don't go straight into your opinions, e.g try not to make it biast! Remember, keep it catchy! Now, your main paragraph. This is where it will show you up how much research you have done. First, start by saying the good points or benefits, e.g 'Most people like Loreal shampoo becuase of the kid label' etc. and try to write a few points about that. Then even it out with the bad points, even if persuasive you must not get too caried away! Now, write the reasons and exceptions, e.g: 'Abortion is fine when the mother has been raped, but why do single teen moms do it of there free will?' etc. Read your article through, not forgetting to check spelling and grammer errors.
