| 13 October 2002 I guess the biggest news is that I (Bevin) am running for a seat on city council I'm pretty excited about that, and my campaign is going well. I have a lot more support in this community than I thought! Our summer was difficult. I had bunion surgery at the end of June so I was on crutches until the end of July. To top it off, I had a relapse of depression brought on by the general anesthesia. How very weird! I feel great now, and have since learned that general anesthesia is known for causing this type of reaction in those susceptible to it. Well thanks a lot for telling me, Doc! :) A fun thing: Dustin and I have spent the last few months experimenting with our hair. I'm back to normal for the campaign but I went green and then orange. Dustin has been blue and green and will soon be going purple. I wish I'd done this years ago. Too fun! Next step: eyebrow piercing and tattoos! Bailey is attending Montessori Academy. It's &%#^(@! expensive and it's waaaaay up the hill so we're using more fuel now but it is soooooooooo worth it. The only thing that bothers me about Montessori is that I don't get to stay and work with all the wonderful materials! :) Bailey came home one day singing: "Show me the continents, show me the continents, Africa, South America, North America, don't forget Asia. . ." I nearly fell off my chair! In extended family news. . . As I type this, Luana and Marcello are celebrating their first anniversary! Congrats, guys. Luana is attending college this year to earn her Resident Care Attendant's certificate. Marcello is still working at BC Lotteries. They recently sold their condo and will be moving into their first home. Cailey (Dustin's sister) is learning to drive! Holy cow, she was 5 when I started dating Dustin! Well, that's all for now. Remember: to see Compassion in Action vote Lukow on November 16! For those of you in other cities in BC just dang well VOTE! If you don't vote you don't get to complain! |
