TUTORIAL FOR BBS BEGINNER

STEP ONE: To change your default editor to pico
Pico your "~/.profile". Type in the text as below.

export EDITOR=pico

Save it by pressing "Ctrl-X".



STEP TWO: Updating your .profile
Run your profile by the command . ~/.profile in the command prompt.



STEP THREE: Subscribe to Newsgroups
The first time you bbs, you would see some welcome messages and announcements. After that, you would see a blank screen.

MISCELLANEOUS:
1. Replying through email is very similar to posting except that you press 'r' instead of 'w'.
2. If you wish to delete your own article, press "shift-d" to it.
3. To change your name and organization, add this two lines to your ~/.profile and save it.

export NAME="<your_nick>"
export ORGANIZATION="<your_org>"

Then run it by the command ". ~/.profile" without the quotes.

4. For more complicated operations, you may refer to here or better still, post it in bbs to ask for help.
