RUSH HOUR 3 AND 4

New Line cochairman Bob Shaye has an exciting idea for the next Rush Hour sequel. "What we would like to do if we could and if we could get economies of scale involved is to actually do a Rush Hour 3 and 4 together and have the third one be a cliffhanger," Shaye said.

The economies of scale to which Shaye refers is that "there are three important but ambitious talent participants who want a lot of money and it undermines the process of making a really good funny movie and a good action movie at a price that we think we can recoup."

Chris Tucker says he would like to see Rush Hour 3 take place in New York. Shaye is open to that. "Chris is obviously an incredibly important part of the production. Even if you set it in New York, it wouldn't all be set in New York. The interiors are going to be elsewhere. There is a budget number that we will do it for and there's a budget number that we won't, because it is a business after all

SHANGHAI DAWN

Hard on the heels of the box office success of Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights, comes a third outing in the series - Shanghai Dawn.

Speaking in London today, Owen Wilson confirmed that he and Chan would be teaming up for a third time. 'We met with the writers,' he said, adding that although there was no script as yet, there had been discussions about locations. 'There's talk about going to Egypt,' he said. 'This does seem like a Hope/Crosby thing. You can put the characters in all different situations and it works.'

Chan confirmed that both Egypt and South Africa were being put forward as possible destinations, while Wilson added that he might be working with Chan again before too long. 'My brother and I might do a cameo as The Wright Brothers in [Around The World In 80 Days]. I think there's going to be lots of cameos – that's the idea

NEW POLICE STORY

No story line has been released.  Yet the director, Benny Chan, has said the story will not be complicated and it will follow the traditional good vs. bad genre.  Benny Chan also stated that there would be more hands on fighting and less CG effects.

Jackie has said that this new movie will not be the 5th instalment of the Police Story series.  He will not have any kissing scenes with Charlie and he will be playing a chauvinist who constantly argues with her.  Charlie's character is is one who is very playful and has to constantly try and cheer her boyfriend up.

The movie will have Cantonese language only
