| My DIY Powerrack |
||||||||||||||||||
| Described here is a custom built powerrack, total cost of building including materials was about $250 Australian including the floor. The rack is made from the following: 75mm x 3mm box 50mm x 25mm 3 3mm RHS for the leg spacers 30mm roundbar for the chin bar and satey pins + washers 30mm bolts + washers for pins The cage bolts together as seen in the pictures and MIG welded. All together the powerrack took somewhere around 8-10 hours to build. Boring the holes in the rack was the most time consuming aspect of this project. The floor was made from 30mm partical board bought at the local tip and shimmed out using scrap. My gym set-up is in my garage and the floor slants quiet steeply so the floor was a must have. |
