Anne Carey Reilly

Rensselaer-Anne M. Carey Reilly, 83, of Rensselaer entered into eternal life after a short illness at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. A lifelong resident of Rensselaer Anne was the daughter of the late John Raymond and Mary Loy Carey. She was a graduate of St. John's Acadamey, Rensselaer, Class of 1937. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Rensselaer and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a homemaker and a loving mother.
Anne was the beloved wife of the late Joseph V. Reilly, Superintendent of Schools in Rensselaer. Cherished mother of J. Michael Reilly and his wife, Carol of Troy, Anne Marie Vadney and her husband, John of Clifton Park, Robert J. Reilly and his wife Sheila of East Greenbush, Katherine M. Luke and her husband Charles, of Lake George, John R. Reilly and his wife, Victoria, of Schodack and Carolyn T. Bell and her husband, Mark, of Waterford. Dear Gram of Christopher, Timothy, Jeffrey, Scott, Colleen, Mark, Stephanie and Nicholas Reilly, Brian, Gregory, Stephen and Matthew Vadney, Charlie, Jonathan and Joseph Luke and Thomas, David and Christina Bell. Loving sister of William J. Carey and his wife, Joyce, of Albany and the late John V., R. Eugene and Francis J. Carey. Sister-in-law of Anna Mae Carey, Carolyn Carey, William J. Reilly, Richard and Mary Reilly, Paul and Ann Reilly all of Rensselaer and the late Thomas and Ann Reilly. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Saturday morning at 8:30 and 9:30 at St. Joseph’s Church Third Street Rensselaer where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 p.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush.
