This is a collection of tutorials currently on the internet. I have chosen them for their relationship to the systems I personaly choose to build and animate characters.

This is a great site that looks at some of the older forms of animated content systems. It explains the POV process and has practicle information on animations beginings.

Blender is a fabulous tool from Not a Number ( NaN ) It basicaly is a very powerfull 3D animation and rendering programme. I recomend any frugal animator to download it and start their 3d career. It also can be used for web 3d development and games development.

If you have kids or are still having issues with getting your head around Blender. Try Anim8or by Steven Glanville. This top little programme can do some amazing things. It has options to output files to 3DSMax and Povray and its free.

With 20 years of experience Stephen Roberts is a fountain of knowledge about lots of 3D packages. I recomend a visit to his site and if you can get a copy of his book for reference.
