Hello!
Long time no write... I know... I'm such a slacker! So much has happened since I last wrote. Tickets have been complete for a while (they and the flyers look fabulous, thanks to Greg!) now and sales have begun. So far, everything is on schedule. I've begun rehearsals with my special guests and we're gonna sound just fine! Pheww! A long awaited piece of sheet music just arrived on Friday so that will help greatly in our concert preparations. I haven't begun working on Refreshment plans yet.... I should probably get started on that soon! If you want to buy some discounted tickets, give me a shout on my voice mail and I'll get back to you asap! I had a vision of a giant backdrop to be used in the concert and the vision is now reality! Yeah! There will be a gorgeous backdrop suspended from the front of the church.... Thanks to the help I got from Bruce at the Comfortable Pew and my father. Things are really coming together now.... Programme for the concert is now complete.... It's just a matter of finalizing and printing everything.. I'll try and leave another installment soon!

Hello!
Good news! Shawn's photoshoot went well and I've selected his headshot for the concert programme. Greg is working diligently at the design for the tickets, flyer and programme cover as I write this... It's looking good so far!
On another positive note, I've got enough material for a programme and I'm going to begin piecing it together. The next step will be to calculate the estimated performance time of each song. I'm listening to Rita sing right now and I'm feeling inspired... This concert is gonna be great!
I'll try and write another entry soon... Here's hoping everyone is doing great!

Welcome to my concert journal! I'm going to try and at least make a few entries before the concert takes place.... "try" being the operative word!
I've been so busy lately working on the concert and I'm happy to report that in most areas my team and I are perfectly on schedule! I just received some bad news recently that one of my anticipated guests is no longer available for the concert. I am becoming rather nervous about the choral portion of my concert programme. I'm not sure if it's "gonna fly".... It's probably just me being paranoid, but realistically it will not be an easy task. We're half-way through August and so far I have not had one single rehearsal with my singers. I'm being a bit silly I know, since I'm working with professionals who are all very talented musicians.... and if necessary we'd be able to pull off the choral selections with only 2 rehearsals. I just want everything to be as close to "perfect" as possible.
On a bright note, last night I printed my headshots for the concert media. I'm content with them. They don't represent my best work, however they are good quality considering that they are all self-portraits. Have you ever tried ttaking a self-portrait before? They aren't really easy to do. I'm getting excited about my photoshoot with Shawn next week. I will have the contacts ready for Greg on the 22nd!
