CANDLELIGHTCONCERT 2002
On Friday October 18th of 2002, I had my first solo recital entitled "Candlelight Concert" at St. Paul's.   It took about a year to put together and the event went rather well, with only a couple "hitches", one of which being my being ill.  I was fighting a nasty cold but somehow managed to survive the 2 hour recital.  The audience (approximately 100 people in attendance) was very  appreciative and kind.  I sang in 10 languages (English, Latin, German, Italian, Russian, Greek, Japanese, Inuit, Philipino, and Haitian).  The response was very positive and I recieved many compliments on the lovely candlelit setting.  There were approximately 100 candles in use that evening, but no fires, thank goodness!

I'm looking forward to "Candlelight Concert II" as it will be even more creative in design, performance and style.  The image on the left is my flyer from the first concert.
The image to the right is the programme cover, with photos (counter-clockwise from top) by James Peel, Focus Fotografix and Helen Tansey.  I was responsible for all graphic design for my first concert and was rather pleased with the final product.  This year, I'm having my media professionally designed by the very talented  Gregory Walsh of GW Designs.  There will be a link to GW Designs in the near future.
