This is a picture of the lake almost at the top of the mountain (you can see the peak in the upper corner).  So it is at about 12500 ft.
We placed flippers at the top of the mountain, sort of like a flag.  Notice the fog.  It keep us from getting to the peak for most of the morning.
We faced many obstacles on the trail.  One of them was crossing a stream; but we found some trees to help.
To get to the mountain, we had to hike past the sand dunes, Sand Dunes National Park
I have other pictures, but they will have to be for another time.  Here is a picture of me, standing be a sign reading "Sangre de Christo" on the trail to the peak.  Notice how large the backpack is.  =)
