My TR47 Fanfic Chapter III: The Wedding
Everything was going great.  Michelle and I were riding home on Joey's motorcycle, which she had kindly let us borrow.  We were riding back to the cabin, and Michelle was sitting behind me, her arms wrapped around my waist.  I was going over what we would say to everybody else at the cabin about my proposal.

When we got to the cabin, I parked the motorcycle and hopped off, then helped Michelle off.  As we were walking to the door, I could hear the others inside playing a game.  The cabin wasn't exactly very soundproof, but there wasn't really anybody that lived that close to us.  I opened the door, then Michelle and I walked in.  I closed the door behind us, then put away our jackets.

"Who's there?" Joey called.

"It's just us," I replied.

Michelle suddenly ran into the room where everybody else was, and yelled, "Luke and I are getting married!"

I rolled my eyes and sighed.  So much for the surprise.  I walked into the main room, and was immediately tackled to the ground.

"Joooeeeey!  I told you not to do that!" I groaned.

Joey got off me and hovered over me in the air.  She was in her Mew form, giggling at me.  Michelle was also giggling to herself.  I jumped back up onto my feet and smiled at Joey.

"Hey Joey, you might wanna take a look at your motorcycle," I said, trying to keep a serious look on my face.

"WHAT?!" she yelled, instantly turning into her Anthro Mew form.

She darted to the door and threw it open, then looked to where her motorcycle was parked.

"I don't see anything wrong with my mo . . . "

*WHACK* Before Joey could finish, she was tackled from behind.  Everybody in the cabin was laughing, and Joey was a bit angry, but more embarrassed.  She should've seen that one coming a mile away.

"You know Joey," I said, offering her my hand, "You really shouldn't let your guard down when you've just tackled me."

Joey grabbed my hand and I pulled her up on her feet.  She looked at me and smiled, then started to go back into the cabin.  She turned around and walked back up to me, and I was expecting her to jump at me again, but she didn't.  Instead, she put her hand on my cheek and kissed me, then walked back inside.

I stood there for a few moments in shock, then walked back inside.  I put my arm around Michelle, who was giving Joey a funny look.

"What?" Joey asked.

"You just kissed Luke," Michelle said, a bit irritated.

"And your point is?" Joey replied.

"This is my point!" Michelle said angrily, holding up her hand to show everyone the diamond ring that was there.

Joey gasped, because she hadn't believed Michelle.  Until now, that is.  She blushed from embarrassment, then turned back into a Mew and sat on the couch.  I kissed Michelle on the cheek, then sat down on the couch next to Joey.  Michelle followed and sat down next to me.  I put my arm around her waist, and she cuddled up closer to me in response.

"So," Jadsy asked, "When's the wedding going to be?"

"Considering the fact that there aren't many people that know us around here, other than TR47 members, we could have it really soon," I said.

I heard a sigh next to me, and glanced over to see Michelle drifting off to sleep.  I smiled, then looked back to everybody else.

"What about family?" Joey asked.  "Don't you think they'd like to be there, or at least know?"

"You have a point," I said, "but then we'd have to have it in the USA.  We can't get all those people over here to the island that easily."

We all agreed that the USA was a good idea, then we debated on where it would be.  We would either have it in California, or Utah.  We all eventually decided on California, since it sounded the most reasonable due to the weather.  Utah's weather was a but on the unpredictable side.  The forecasters could predict it, but it could be sunny and somewhat warm one day, then snowing the next.  California was warm most of the year.

It was getting really late by the time we'd gotten that far, so we all went to bed.  Michelle didn't look like she wanted to be moved.  It's not that she didn't like it, but she looked so peaceful, curled up next to me with my arm around her.

Joey got me a blanket, and I gently laid Michelle down and placed it over her.  I was going to leave, but she happened to wake up right then.  I stepped over to her, and sat down.  She laid her head on my lap, the smiled.

"What is it?" I asked?

She then sat up and whispered something in my ear.  I smiled, then went to Michelle's room to find her pajamas.  I found them in her dresser, but not before embarrassing myself by looking in the wrong drawer.  I brought Michelle's pajamas to her, and she took them from me.  She saw my red face and smiled.

"Michelle, next time tell me the right drawer so that I don't accidentally open a drawer that's full of your lingerie," I said.

Michelle giggled, then turned away.

"That was a dirty trick!" I called to her as she walked to the bathroom to change.

I went to my room and pulled a pair of cotton pajamas out of the drawer.  I changed into them after locking my door, then went back to the living room.  I walked to the bathroom and tapped on the door.

"Are you decent?" I asked.

"Cut that out!" she said, opening the bathroom door and throwing her shirt at me, then shutting it again.  I laughed, and tossed her shirt into the laundry basket near the door.

A few minutes later she walked out.  She smiled, then went into the kitchen to get something to snack on.  I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth, then went back to the living room and laid down on the couch, puling the blanket over myself.

Michelle came in a few minutes later.  She didn't realize I was there, so she laid down on the couch, lying right on my arm.

"I'm glad you care about me that much Michelle," I said sarcastically, "but could you please move off my arm?"

I felt her jump a bit as I said it, because she hadn't noticed me.  She sat up a bit and I pulled my arm away, then she laid back down.  I put my arm around her, only this time putting it where she wouldn't be lying right on top of it.  I pulled the blanket back over us, then whispered "sleep well" in her ear.

We received a rude awakening the next morning, thanks to Joey. She got right next to the couch, hovering in the air in her Mew form, and yelled, "Luke!  Michelle! Cut that out; you're not married yet!"  Michelle and I both shot up when Joey yelled.  I was extremely irritated, because I had been having a wonderful dream about winning huge a racing event with my Mustang.

Michelle and I looked at each other, and before Joey knew it she was flying across the room from the force of our attacks.  Amazingly enough, nothing in the cabin was broken. Joey got up and brushed herself off, then smiled.  She had achieved her goal, because all she was trying to do was wake us up.

Michelle and I groggily climbed out of bed and I happened to glance at the clock.  It was 10:15 A.M.  We had slept in WAY late.  It certainly is a good thing that we didn't have anything important to do that day.  Joey, however, didn't really care about that.  If she thought anybody needed to wake up, she was always the one to do it.

We all went into town that day to buy some stuff, then dropped it off at the cabin and went to visit Kat.  She was glad to see us, and was thrilled when she heard the news about Michelle and me.  Joey, Kat, Dreana, Michelle, and I all decided that we needed a bit of time to relax.  We all said goodbye to the others, then flew off toward the U.S., leaving bright streaks of color behind us.  In a matter of moments we were flying over the ocean at an incredible speed.  After just a few minutes, we could see the U.S. off in the distance, which meant we would be there in a matter of moments.

We were heading toward Ohio.  Specifically Cedar Point.  We were flying across Utah, and we decided to turn back and stop at Michelle and Joey's house first.  We got there a few seconds later.  We landed on the sidewalk in front of the house, and I managed to pull off a perfect landing.  There was only one reason we were coming her first.  That reason was parked in the driveway.

I pulled the cover off my Mustang and stopped to admire it.  After a few moments of looking, we all went inside and talked with Michelle and Joey's family for a while.  They were happy to hear the news of our wedding plans.  I got the keys from Michelle's dad, because I had allowed him to drive it while I was away.  He took really good care of it.  The car was fairly old, but I didn't want to give it up.  It was too nice; especially with the supercharged engine I had built.
We said goodbye, then all jumped into my car.  I started it up and pulled out of the driveway, and we started the long drive to my house, which was the next stop.  We would tell my family about our proposal, then we would continue the drive to Ohio.  It would be quite a long trip, but not too bad.

We stopped briefly at Buffalo Bill's to ride the Desperado a few times, then continued to Las Vegas, and finally my house.  We ended up getting there at 8:00 P.M. which was record time for me, considering the fact that we had left Michelle's house at 11:00 A.M.

We got out after I parked the car in front of the house, then walked up to the front door.  Michelle and I were in our Anthro Raichu forms, but Joey, Kat, and Dreana didn't need to change.  My brother was a bit shocked when he answered the door and Michelle and I were standing there, along with a Mewtwo and two Mews.  Pokmon weren't normally in the U.S.  They mainly stayed on Pokmon Island, except for a few rare occasions when one happened to venture off the Island, but didn't survive very long.

We all walked inside, and my parents came downstairs when they heard me.  They were just as surprised as my brother to see Joey, Kat, and Dreana, but they had come to expect almost anything with me.  This wasn't completely out of the ordinary, but it was pretty darn close.

At 10:00 P.M., we all decided to get to sleep so that we could get an early start the next morning, which meant we would try to leave at around 8:00 A.M.  We laid out our sleeping bags in the basement, and were soon sound asleep.

The next morning we got up at 7:00 A.M. and ate breakfast, then got what little stuff we had packed into the trunk of my car.  Before we left, I told my parents about my proposal to Michelle, and they were kind of astonished.  They had never thought that I'd actually get married to Michelle because she was a few years younger than me, but I didn't care.

We left at 8:30 A.M. and made a quick stop at the gas station to fuel up.  I added some coolant to the engine, along with a special fuel additive that made my car run smoother.  I had formulated the additive myself, and it was designed just for my car.

We got out onto the open road after a few hours of driving, and it was then that I kicked up the speed on the car to make better time.  I was going the flow of traffic, which was about 100 MPH, but there weren't that many cars on the road where we were at.

After a few days of driving and spending nights in hotel rooms, we finally arrived in Sandusky, Ohio, which was just South of Cedar Point.

We ended up spending three days at Cedar Point.  We were pretty worn out after that, so we spent an entire day in the hotel room just playing Go Fish and watching TV.  How we managed to play Go Fish the entire day amazed even us.

The next day we decided to go back to Pokmon Island, but we wouldn't fly there this time.  We'd just teleport ourselves.  After paying all the hotel bills, we got into my car and got onto the road.  After driving in the direction of my house for a little while, we were just about the only car on the road.  There were a few cars here and there, but they wouldn't notice it when we teleported.

When we were sure it was clear, we teleported ourselves to Pokmon Island, car and all.  We got to the cabin a little while later, but not before an encounter with Gary.  He must have been looking for a challenge, because he spotted us right away. I thought Joey would fall over dead, because she practically worshiped Gary.

"Nice car," Gary said, "but it's still not as nice as mine."

"Is that a challenge?" I asked.  Gary nodded his head.  "So be it.  Don't be too disappointed if you lose."

"Lose?  Me?" Gary asked, surprised, "I think you should be the one getting worried."

"We'll see about that," I replied.

We all drove to a nearby racing area.  It was used mainly for drag racing, and that's exactly what we were doing.  It was a rather long drag strip, so I wouldn't have any problem with speed.  I was a bit concerned, because I didn't know what Gary was hiding under the hood of his car.  For all I knew, he could've had a racing engine in there designed specifically for high speeds.  I had designed my car for any type of use.

We pulled up to the drag strip and shut off the engines.  Both of us got out to mess with the car for a few seconds, while everybody else sat near the finish line to watch.  I switched on my supercharger and slammed the hood down, then hopped back into my car.  I put up the top on the car, and Gary did the same.  At the speeds we would reach, the wind would be fairly strong.  I pressed down the gas pedal, and listened as the supercharger kicked in.  It was working perfectly.
When Gary heard my supercharger kick in, I watched his head shoot up and look at my car.  The sound was unmistakable, because the supercharger on my Mustang Convertible made a distinct roar when it kicked in.  The sound was music to my ears, because without the supercharger, the car couldn't reach a speed over about 125 MPH or so.  The fastest I had gotten the car to go was around 300 MPH with the supercharger, but that was in packed sand.  This was paved asphalt, which I had never done before, so I didn't know just how fast I could go.

I shut the engine off, then went to the trunk of my car.  I pulled out a kit, which contained pads designed just for drag racing.  I wrapped a pad around each of the rear tires, because those were the tires that would peel out the most.  The pads were also made out of a type of rubber, so they would provide the same traction as the tires, only the rubber pads would be worn off instead of the car tires.

I climbed back into my car and started back up the engine.  I had just filled my tank recently, so I wouldn't have any fuel problems, and in preparation I had added my special coolant to the engine, along with some special fuel in the gas tank which would give my car an extra boost.

We both pulled up to the starting lines and put our cars in gear, revving the engines to taunt each other.  Quite a few people had gathered to watch, because our engines weren't exactly that quiet when they were running.  I checked all the gauges on my car to make sure everything was working well, then looked up toward the starting light.

Before the lights were lit, I put on a crash helmet, just in case anything happened.  I'd never needed the helmet before, because I hadn't wrecked my car even once.

The racing light lit up and a voice came in through a headset in my helmet.

"Drivers, get ready."

I pressed down the gas pedal to rev up the engine, but not so much that the supercharger kicked in.  The racing lights lit up, and began to change.  I pressed on the gas harder when the yellow light appeared.  When the green light lit up, I let off the brake instantly and punched the accelerator.  The tires squealed and peeled out for a second, then the car rocketed forward in a burst of speed.  Gary was right up with me.

As I listened to the engine speed up, I let off the gas for a split second to allow it to shift gears.  It was incredible.  As the speedometer climbed rapidly, the gears shifted one after the other.  I hadn't been paying too much attention to the speed, only Gary.  He was ever so slowly pulling ahead of me.  Suddenly my car shot forward in an unexpected burst of power as the supercharger fired up.  My speedometer was as high as it could go, but I was still speeding up.  A sense of pride built up inside of me, because I knew that I would be going much faster than I had ever gone.

I glanced over my shoulder quickly to see that Gary was losing his edge over me rapidly.  I passed him and continued to accelerate, unaware that I was going much faster than I had gone in the Salt Flats.  The finish line was in sight, and it was quickly approaching.

My car geared up one last time to the highest gear, and I watched the RPM needle climb to the top.  I was going too fast for the engine to handle, and I knew it.  I glanced to the temperature gauge, and I felt my stomach tighten considerably as I saw how hot the engine was getting.  The Temperature Gauge was well in the red area.  I suddenly jumped as an audible thump shook the car, and quite a bit of smoke flashed out from under the hood.  That definitely wasn't good.  I passed the finish line a few moments later, and Gary crossed almost immediately after me.

I immediately pulled my foot off the gas and jammed my finger on the parachute release button.  The car was instantly slowed by the sudden resistance of the parachute, and I was almost thrown forward into my seatbelt.  I watched the speedometer and listened for the supercharger shutdown.  Nothing happened, which horrified me.  If it was stuck, I wouldn't be able to stop without shutting off the engine completely, and at that speed it would do serious damage to the braking system.  Even after a few seconds of slowing, the speedometer still hadn't dropped.

I started to get nervous, because if I couldn't slow down soon enough, I would drive right off the drag strip.  That would be extremely bad, because there was a fence at the end of the strip.  I didn't want to risk it, so I pressed the parachute release button again, deploying a second chute.  The car was slowed even more, and I was pressed harder into my seatbelt.

I breathed a sigh of relief as the speedometer finally began to drop steadily.  When it reached about 150 MPH, I pressed gently on the brakes to slow the car down.  The car eventually came to a stop, and I shut off the engine.  I pulled off my helmet and set it down on the seat next to me, then unbuckled my seatbelt and opened the door.  I pulled the hood release and climbed out of the car.

I reached my hand to the release latch, but pulled it back before I touched it, because I realized it would be fairly hot after all that racing.  I pulled out a cloth and fumbled around until I found the release, then pulled the hood open.  My heart sank as I looked at the engine.  There was quite a bit of smoke coming off the supercharger.  The rest of the engine was fine which meant my car could still be driven, but not at high speeds.  I would have to fix the supercharger, but I didn't know the exact problem yet.

I started the car back up and drove back to the finish line, where Gary was waiting.  He knew there was a problem with my car, but he didn't care.  His car was working well.  He reluctantly congratulated me, but cheered up quickly.  I was the first person that had beaten him in a race.  We shook hands, then drove back to the beginning of the racing strip, where everybody else was now waiting for us.  They all cheered for me, but also for Gary since he had been so close.

After the engine was cooled down in my car, I checked over the supercharger to find the source of the problem.  It didn't take long to find.  The piston had gotten so hot that it had melted, causing the entire valve to blow out.  I would have to rebuild the supercharger completely.  Luckily, the rest of the engine hadn't been harmed in the explosion, because the supercharger had shut itself down completely when it blew out.  That explained why I hadn't heard it shut down when I was slowing down.  It was already off.

After a few more minutes of celebrating and chatting, the five of us drove back to the cabin.  I parked the car where Joey's motorcycle was, and went inside.  Typically Joey didn't allow ANYBODY into the garage her motorcycle was kept, but she allowed me to go in there since I had my car.

Over the next few weeks I spent a few hours each day repairing and rebuilding the supercharger.  It took me a while to build a new one, because I had bought the old one mostly assembled.  The old one took only a few hours to install, but building a new one required that I buy all new parts and build it myself.

After about two months, my car was back to normal.  The supercharger was repaired and working better than ever.  While repairing the supercharger, I had also thoroughly checked over the engine for a general inspection since my car so old.  Everything else was in top shape.

Michelle was a bit irritated that I spent so much time repairing my car, because she would've normally gotten all that attention.  After the car was finished, everything returned to normal.  We still had a wedding to plan, but it was mostly planned by then.  Sure, I was working on my car quite a bit, but the rest of the time I spent doing everything else like normal, which included the wedding plans.

We decided that the wedding would be in a park near Michelle's house.  We had organized everything for the wedding, so it was all taken care of now.  The announcements/invitations had already been sent, and the wedding was less than two weeks away.

By the time the big day came, everybody was almost frantic, but only to a certain level that was normal for a wedding.  I was in my room getting ready, and Michelle was with her friends getting ready as well.  By the time I had my suit and tux on right, the wedding was only two hours away.

We all left right then.  We all teleported to the site of the wedding.  Those who didn't have the ability to teleport were just teleported with me.  Half an hour passed, and I realized that I had been pacing around the entire half-hour.  I stopped myself and sat down to relax.  I was more nervous than I had ever been in my life.  I checked my pocket for the tenth time that day to make sure I had the ring, which I did.

After another half-hour, most of the guests started to arrive.  Most were family and friends, but quite a few were members of TR47.  Since this was a special occasion, the TR47 members were all wearing fancy clothes with a gold TR47 on them.

Finally the wedding was about to start, so everybody started to sit down.  The sky was crystal clear, and it was the perfect temperature outside.  The minister stepped up to the altar, and announced that the wedding would begin.  I turned, and was stunned when I saw Michelle.  It almost seemed like she was glowing with the wedding dress she was wearing.  She walked slowly to the altar, bouquet in hand.

She stepped up to the altar, and I took her hand and turned toward the minister.  He then began the ceremony.

When asked if I had a ring, I responded, "Oh, yes.  It's right here."

I reached into my pocket and was horrified when I realized the ring wasn't there.  I checked my other pocket and it wasn't there either.  The minister whispered something in my ear, and I told him I was absolutely sure there had been a ring in my pocket.

Right then I felt a tug on the back of my suit, so I turned a bit to see what the person wanted.  A small girl was standing there, obviously shy and embarrassed.  She held up a small box to me, which was exactly what I had been looking for.

"You dropped this back there a little while ago," she said sweetly.

I bent down on one knee and took the box, and quietly said, "Thank you."

I then gave her a small kiss on the cheek and stood back up.  She giggled and ran back to a bench, then sat down, blushing deeply.  I turned back around to face the minister and opened the box.

"Okay.  We may proceed," the minister said.

He then proceeded with the ring ceremony.  I placed the ring on Michelle's finger and said what the minister instructed me to say, then Michelle did the same for me.

The minister said the last few lines, then concluded with the final line, "You may kiss the bride."

I then turned to Michelle and leaned forward, kissing her tenderly on the lips.  When I pulled away, we gazed into each other's eyes and could feel a new sense of happiness and joy.  Michelle then took me, along with everyone else, completely by surprise by throwing her arms around me and kissing me a second time.

At that moment a faint rumble was heard.  Michelle and I both glanced up to see that a storm was gathering.  This was typical.  It seemed that every time Michelle and I were together, a storm started to gather.  Probably since both of us were part Raichu and extremely powerful.  We both smiled and kissed each other again as it started to drizzle lightly outside.  A little rain wasn't going to ruin this perfect moment.

A little rain wouldn't ruin the wedding, but Michelle's dress wasn't quite the same way.  Out of fear that the rain would ruin her dress, I pulled off my suit coat and put it around Michelle.  We then both we to my car and climbed in.  I had kind of expected it to unexpectedly rain, so I had the top up on my car.

I started up the car and pulled away.  We had a backup plan in case it rained.  We had made reservations at a restaurant for our group if it rained, which it did.  Everybody met at the restaurant and we had dinner there.  After dinner, we all talked for quite a while.  We had made special arrangements with the owner of the restaurant, so they had cleared out space for us to have a dance.

Michelle and I had the first dance, then after the song was over everybody applauded and danced to the next song.  I had noticed that Michelle gave my dad an odd look when they were dancing.  It was a sort of tradition for the bride do dance with her father along with the Groom's.

I walked over to Michelle after the song was over and said, "Don't let my dad give you a hard time.  He likes to joke around a bit."

"It's okay," Michelle said, "I figured that was the case."

After it was over, Michelle and I left.  When I got to my car, I laughed.  All the guys in the group had so kindly decorated my car with shaving cream and painted "Just Married" on the back window with washable paint.

I started up the car and pulled out, then drove off.  At the first red light, I pressed on the brake and jumped as the horn blared at the same time.  Typical wedding prank.  Putting graffiti on the Groom's car and attaching the horn to the brake wire.

Michelle and I checked into our hotel room on Pokmon Island, which was a Honeymoon Suite.  I hadn't really thought about the name of the hotel earlier, but when I noticed small sign on the desk in our room, I laughed.

The hotel was called the Triple-Pika Hotel.  Michelle had the same reaction, because we had come up with the concept of the Triple-Pika Hotel in a chat room conversation.  Apparently, somebody thought it was a good idea and named the hotel that.  Michelle and I didn't care though, because we were just playing around in that conversation.  We didn't actually intend to start our own hotel in that name.

The odd thing about the hotel was the design.  It was almost scary, because the hotel was designed and built just as Michelle and I had described in our conversations.  Even our Honeymoon Suite was exactly as we had imagined it.  But then again, it made it that much more interesting.  In our conversation, we had been playing in the bathtub and were having a water fight.  We were Pikachus in that conversation, not Raichus, and especially not Anthro Raichus, but we could improvise.

Since the room we were in was almost exactly as we had described, we could completely reenact the entire conversation.  The conversation was cut short since it was so late and we had to get to sleep, so we hadn't finished the conversation.  We would just have to do whatever from that point on.  Now I realize this is a HONEYMOON (hint, hint), so that's as far as I'm going to go.

The next morning Michelle and I woke up at 9:00 A.M.  Neither of us wanted to get out of bed.  I put my arms around her and kissed her on the neck.  I sighed happily,  thinking about the fact that a dream had come true.  Specifically, the dream about Michelle and me getting married.  However, only half of the dream had been fulfilled.  The other half . . . well . . . the other half wouldn't come true for a few years.

I sat up slowly in bed, quite irritated, when the phone rang.  I picked it up and answered it.  The person was calling from the front desk in an annoyingly chipper voice.

"Good morning," he said.  "I hope you two had a good night's sleep."

"We were until you called," I said jokingly.

He laughed at the comment, the continued by saying, "In addition to your room, both of you are entitled to a free breakfast in bed.  Just call room service and place your order, and they'll bring the food right up to you."

"Thanks," I said.

I hung up the phone, then pulled on my pajamas, which were lying on the floor next to the bed.  Michelle did the same.  I dialed room service and ordered our meal, then looked around as I hung up the phone.  I found the remote to the TV, then turned on the TV.  I pulled the blankets back over myself and flipped through the channels, looking for something good on TV.

I stopped at a station that was showing a movie, which happened to be Monty Python and the Holy Grail.  That was a surprise to me, because this was Pokmon Island.  I didn't know that Monty Python even existed here.

After about ten minutes there was a knock at the door, and a man announced that it was room service.  I told him to come in.  The door locked clicked and he opened the door, then pushed in a cart carrying what we had ordered.

As the man was leaving he said, "Now if there's anything you need, just give us a ring and we'll be glad to help.  Just leave the dishes on the table over there," he said while gesturing, "and housekeeping will take care of it.  Will that be all?"

I nodded, and he gave me a slight bow before leaving the room after I tipped him, closing the door behind him.  We ate our breakfast, then packed our bags.  We checked out of the hotel and paid the bill, then got in my car and drove it to the carwash.  After all the paint and shaving cream was washed off, we drove back to the cabin.

When we walked inside, we were caught by surprise.  The entire cabin was decorated for the occasion.  There were quite a few gifts stacked up in the middle of the floor, as well as numerous cards.  Michelle and I looked at each other then smiled.

I turned to Michelle and whispered, "Three, two, one..."

Suddenly a bunch of people jumped up and yelled, "Surprise!"

Michelle cracked up, because I had timed it perfectly.  We sat down on the couch together, and everybody else congratulated us and chatted with us for a while.  While we were chatting with a few people, I noticed the little girl who had handed me the ring during the wedding.  She saw me looking at her and smiled.  I winked at her and she giggled and blushed, then hid.  I laughed then turned to Michelle.

"What are you smiling about?" She asked.

"I saw that little girl that handed me the ring during the wedding," I replied.

"Oh, her," Michelle said.  "I've seen her before.  She's a sweet little girl, but very shy."

"I can see that," I said.

The party continued for a few hours, then all the guests began to leave.  I saw the girl a second time and smiled.  She walked shyly up to me, then looked up at me.  I picked her up then sat her down on my lap.

"Thank you for what you did earlier today," I said to her.  "You did a brave thing."

She was obviously a quiet and shy person.  She looked up at me then said, "I saw it sitting on the ground, and thought it might be important.  I knew it was yours when you started to get worried, so I just got up and went up there."

She blushed again and giggled, because I knew that she remembered that I had kissed her when she gave me the ring.

She looked up me again and said, "Why do you both have ears and a tail like that?"

I smiled, because I knew how honest and open little kids were about asking strangers questions.  I thought about what to say for a moment, because I knew that she might get confused.

"Well," I started, "It's because the two of us are special.  We were given these for a special reason.  Who knows?  You just might be the next one."

She giggled, then hopped off my lap.  I pulled a small bag out of my pocket and handed it to her.  It was a small bag of candy which I had gotten just for her.

"Here.  This is for you," I said.  "If you want to know anything else, you know where to find me."

She took the bag from me, then ran off to find her parents.  Michelle looked at me and smiled.

"That was nice," Michelle said.

I kissed Michelle, then stood up.  Within a few minutes the rest of the guests had left.  Joey, Ira, and Jads all went to bed, leaving us by ourselves.  We cuddled up on the couch and fell fast asleep a few minutes later.

The next day everybody else left so that Michelle and I could be alone for a while.  We went to the pile of present and scanned over the tags.  The presents were from numerous people, most of which we didn't know.  There were also quite a few presents from my relatives.  I still didn't get how they were sending the presents to me, since they didn't have our address.  Then it occurred to me that they had probably left the presents for us after the wedding, then the presents had been brought here by Joey and the others.

We pulled presents out of the pile one-by-on and opened them, reading whatever card, tag, or note was attached to them.  One of the presents that caught my attention was the deed to a cabin.  All of the TR47 members had pitched in and built a cabin nearby.  It was about a mile or so away from this one.  We continued to unwrap the presents, laughing at some of the cards.

I pulled one of the last few presents out of the corner and looked at the tag.  It was from Jads.  I opened the present and started to laugh.  It was a CD.  The cover had a picture of Jads on it.  We had made a club on the Internet titled the "Jadsyshouldmakeacd" club.  She was a really good singer, but in my opinion she was too shy to admit it.

The last present was from Joey.  Michelle ripped off the paper and tossed it aside, then examined the box.  There was quite a bit of tape holding it shut, which made both of us laugh.  Michelle ripped through the tape with her fingernails, the opened the box.  It contained a lot of tissue paper.  Michelle and I exchanged puzzled looks, then pulled out all the tissue paper.

The tissue paper was actually there to protect what was inside of it.  We carefully unfolded the tissue paper and were amazed by what we saw.  It was a sketch of the wedding.  The first was a sketch of me in my suit, which was amazingly good.  We unwrapped another, which was a sketch of Michelle in her wedding dress.  The quality was just as good, if not better.

We continued to unfold the separate sheets of tissue paper, exposing the various sketches inside of them.  There were ten sketches in all.  There were two sketches that really caught our attention.  One was a sketch of Michelle and I standing side-by-side; Michelle in her wedding dress and me in my suit.  The other was a sketch of the two of us standing at the altar during the ceremony, holding hands.  I had noticed Joey carrying her sketch pad before the wedding, but I had thought nothing of it.

We cleaned up all the wrapping paper and ribbon and threw it away, then gathered up the presents.  We carried the presents out to my car and piled them into the back seat and the trunk, then pulled out a map which gave us directions to the cabin.

I drove down the road away from the TR47 cabin until we came to a fork in the road.  I looked at the map, then found where we were at.  I read the map carefully, then turned onto the road toward our cabin.  After a few minutes, I could see the cabin sitting in a clearing.

We pulled up a few moments later and I parked the car.  I pulled a key out of the envelope that was attached to the present and got out of the car.  I put the key in the lock and unlocked the door, the opened it and walked in.

Michelle followed in after me, looking at everything.  The cabin already had furniture in it, and all of our stuff had already been moved there by the others.  We brought in our presents and put them in the living room, then walked into our bedroom.  I put our bags next to the bed and looked around.  All of the sketches and pictures that had been hanging on the wall in my room and Michelle's room were now hanging in the bedroom here.

We put our stuff away, then put the presents in their respective places.  I found an envelope lying on the table in the kitchen while we were putting all the presents away.  I opened the envelope and read it aloud.

"Dear Luke and Michelle,
Congratulations on your wedding.  I hope you like your new home.  Everybody in TR47 pitched in some money to help build this cabin. Once again, Congratulations on your wedding, and may the both of you have many happy years together.

~All The Members of Team Rocket 47~

Michelle and I smiled as I finished the letter.  This cabin probably took a little while to build.  It likely was started before I had even proposed to Michelle.  It was probably going to be a second TR47 cabin, in case the police raided the other one or something.  Instead, the cabin was given to us as a gift.

We would probably continue on in TR47 as normal.  For the time being though, we decided to take it easy.  I pulled out a small package which contained our Pokmon and glanced over the Pokballs.  The Pokmon needed to be taken care of, so I released them all and got out the Pokmon food.  Michelle and I had twelve Pokmon, six each, which we kept for ourselves.  The other Pokmon we had caught for TR47.

After feeding the Pokmon, I released then into an open enclosure which had been built for them behind the cabin.  I went inside and heard my cell phone ring.  I picked up the phone and answered it.  It was Joey, and she wanted to know what we thought of the place.  I told her it was great, then we talked for a while longer.  I handed the phone to Michelle and they talked for a while longer, then Michelle hung up the phone.

We were a bit tired from moving all the stuff around, so we cuddled up on the couch and fell fast asleep.  We weren't sure what we'd do the next day, but we would figure something out.  Everything was perfect now, but we didn't consider the fact that anything can change in an instant...

And that's the end of Chapter 3 of my fanfic.  It's going pretty good so far.  I'll start Chapter 4 as soon as I'm finished with another story that I'm working on, however long that will take.  If you've read the other two chapters already, you know what I'm going to say next.  Basically, thanks to Joey for allowing me to use some of her ideas.  As usual, E-Mail comments on the story to [email protected] and don't forget that I'm always looking for fresh story ideas and suggestions for the following chapters in each of my fanfics.  Thanks for reading!  This is Luke Judd, signing off.  See you in the next story!  *disappears again*
