�Yes,� she replied.
�Do you, uh, know who I am?� Luke asked quietly.
�No. Am I supposed to know?�
�I wasn�t really expecting you to. I�m Luke.�
She stepped back when he said that. For a moment she didn�t believe him, but then she realized that he was telling the truth. She, like Joey, had met Luke through the Internet. They didn�t chat, however. They only communicated through E-Mail. She had never seen any of his pictures before; only sketches. That�s why she didn�t recognize him right away.
She and Harry stepped inside and looked around. She was impressed at the size of the cabin. Joey walked in a few moments later and saw Lisa. She ran up to her and hugged her, then they all went into the living room to get to know each other.
Luke hadn�t believed that there were such things as witches and wizards before then, but he did now. They both went outside to grab their stuff, the carried it inside. Luke saw an odd-shaped case and snickered. He poked Harry and whispered something in his ear, and Harry looked a bit envious.
Luke floated into the air and looked at Harry. �I�d like to see you do this without your broom.�
Lisa scowled at him and mumbled something, then Luke turned into a frog and landed on the ground. �Jerk.� Luke then used Transform and turned back into his normal self. He glared at Lisa a bit annoyed, but she was giggling. He was glad he knew Transform.
Luke knew that he didn�t dare attack Harry or Lisa. They could use their magic to block the attack, and if they used their magic on Luke he could use his psychic powers to counteract them. It was a stalemate. They didn�t become bitter toward each other though. That was the last thing TR47 needed, and also Lisa and Luke were already friends.
Luke glanced over at Michelle, who had continued playing a game with the others. Luke poked her and she looked up at him, then stood up. Lisa hadn�t believed Luke when he told her that he and Michelle were married. Lisa didn�t believe it until Michelle and Luke both showed Lisa their wedding rings.
Lisa finally believed them, then they all joined the game that everybody was playing. It got weirder when Lisa and Harry dealt the cards, because they used their Magick to shuffle and deal them.
After playing much later than normal and sleeping in, they all decided to take the day off and do nothing, which wasn�t all that uncommon. They actually got some sleep that night, and woke up at a reasonable time the next day.
That day they went into town and bought a whole bunch of groceries and food for the Pok�mon. Since they were located where they were, there wasn�t Pok�mon food. They just made their own. Harry and Lisa put on some regular clothes so that they wouldn�t attract attention, and everybody that was Anthro morphed into an all-human form.
A few more weeks passed like this, and Michelle was getting nearer to her due date. Going to the doctor was complicated, because Michelle almost forgot to morph into her human form a few times. She was only a few weeks away.
In the time that was passing they had built a second, smaller cabin. Just like the previous time, the smaller cabin was for Michelle and Luke. They moved all their belongings into the smaller cabin easily, because there really wasn�t a whole lot that needed to be moved.
Michelle seemed to be taking things rather well. She didn�t complain that much, although Luke wasn�t entirely fond of the mood swings that she was having.
One day, Michelle and Luke were driving around taking a break, but Michelle was riding with Luke in his Mustang. Luke was driving Michelle everywhere, because he was afraid something would happen if she drove by herself.
Luke was talking to Michelle as they were driving, but suddenly Michelle stopped talking and her hand went to her stomach. Luke glanced over and immediately realized that they would be taking a detour; to the hospital.
Joey was at the cabin writing something in her notebook when the phone rang. She ran over and answered the phone, and was surprised when she realized was the one that was calling.
�Luke? What�s up?�
�No time to talk, Joey. Just get your butt over to the hospital ASAP. Michi�s keys are on the dresser in our cabin. Take her Mustang and get your butt moving.�
Joey then heard the phone click. She slammed the phone onto the cradle, then ran over to the other cabin. She burst through the door and found Michi�s keys a few moments later. Everybody at the TR47 cabin was a bit surprised at Joey�s urgency. They tried to ask Joey what was going on, but Joey only jumped into Michi�s Mustang, gunned the engine, and tore away from the cabin at full speed.
Luke turned quickly into the parking lot at the hospital. The a few doctors were waiting there, because he had called ahead. They opened the door and helped Michi into a wheelchair, then rushed her into the hospital. Luke parked the Mustang, then rushed inside.
After asked someone, he quickly ran to the room where Michi was. She was changing into a hospital gown, so Luke went back to the waiting room. Joey rushed in a few minutes later and immediately saw Luke. She got a few shocked looks from people, because she was still in her Anthro Mew form. Luke and Michi had already changed into their all human form.
�It�s only a costume,� Joey said, a bit panicked now. She ran into the bathroom, then came back out a few minutes later in her human form. She was carrying a bag on her shoulder, so the people that had been shocked left her alone.
Joey walked up to Luke and put the bag down. �Where�s Michi?�
�She�s in a room getting changed. The doctors say it will be anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours.�
Joey mumbled something, then sat down in one of the chairs in the waiting room. Luke sat down next to her and they talked for a few minutes. A little bit later, one of the doctors approached Luke and asked if he would like to assist. Luke nodded and followed the doctor to Michi�s room.
Michi smiled and weakly said hi when she saw Luke. He sat down in a chair next to her bed and took her hand.
�Everything will go fine, trust me. The doctor told me they have an Epidural planned.�
Michi gave Luke a sickened look, because she know what an epidural did. It wasn�t having it that bothered her. It was the part of having it put in that made her nervous.
<Another bit of info: an Epidural is basically an IV that goes into your spine and desensitizes your body of pain from that point down.>
The doctors put in the Epidural, and Michi was holding Luke�s hand the entire time. She squeezed it harder when they did the stick, which made Luke grit his teeth. Michi had a fairly strong grip; especially when the doctors were putting that in.
Meanwhile, Joey was still sitting in the waiting room. She was the impatient type, but she knew she would have to wait. It seemed like ages when Luke finally came back. He said a few things to her, then she sat back down and Luke left again.
Luke had told her that it wouldn�t be much longer. She was relieved to hear that, because she wasn�t sure how long she was willing to wait.
Luke walked back into Michelle�s room and looked at her. She was talking with the doctors, because they were explaining what they would be doing.
<I won�t drag this out, because I have other things to add to this story as well.>
Joey waited for another 10 minutes before pulling out a sketch pad and working on her latest sketch, which was of Lisa and Harry. After working on it for a while, she put it away and looked at the clock. Thirty minutes had passed. She perked up when she saw the door to Michelle�s room open.
Luke came walking out, and he was smiling. He sat down next to Joey and turned to face her.
�Well? What�s the story?� Joey asked Luke.
Luke simply reached into his pocket and then tossed Joey a piece of pink ribbon. She picked it up, the looked at Luke. He stood up, and Joey stood up at the same time.
�It�s a girl!� She threw her arms around Luke and hugged him, then looked at the piece of ribbon again. She then cleared her throat. �So, when can we go see Michi?�
�The doctors want to let her rest for a few minutes. They say she can have visitors that aren�t close family in an hour. You can go see her now if you want to.�
Joey followed Luke to Michi�s room, but she was fast asleep. They decided to let her sleep, and headed to the nursery (if that�s what it�s really called). They looked around, then eventually found a baby whose crib said �Judd� on it.
�So, what�s her name?� Joey asked, turning to Luke.
�Cassie. We were considering Cassandra, but we both agreed that Cassie sounds better. She�ll probably end up being nicknamed Cass, just like Michelle being called Michi.�
Joey happened to comment on how cute she was. Luke snickered, then looked at Joey. �Don�t you think I�m cute?�
Joey laughed, then pushed Luke. They looked at a few of the other babies that were there, then headed back to Michi�s room 15 minutes later. By that time she was awake again, so she had only been napping. She was happy to see Joey. They talked for quite a while.
Meanwhile, a new figure was roaming around Tac�s lab. He had dark hair, was wearing a cape, and there was a sword slung over his shoulder.
<I hope I got that description right. It�s another of Joey�s ideas, so she�ll kill me if I don�t give her credit right now. Thanks Joey. There, I did it. I�ll continue now.>
The man was looking for Tac, but Tac hadn�t shown up for days now. The man was simply known as Denki. He, like Tac, was looking for Joey. However, Denki was a bounty hunter. Joey had a price on her head for *gasp* an overdue library book! *dramatic Monty Python type chord*
Denki finally gave up and decided that Tac was dead. All the better for him, because Denki was holding a grudge against Tac for something Tac did a LONG time ago.
<But we won�t get into that now, because it would take too long. Maybe in another Chapter. Oops, I better get on with the story before Denki comes after me with his sword for ranting and wasting time.>
Denki gave the writer a weird look, the shrugged his shoulders and looked around. Tac�s lab would be adequate. He decided that since Tac was no longer around, he would claim the lab for himself. He wasn�t sure how everything worked, but he�d figure it out. He was especially interested in the holding tanks that contained the Pok�mon DNA.
He wasn�t sure what he was supposed to do with them, but he didn�t care. Like everything else there, he�d figure it out eventually. Denki wandered around for a while longer, then saw something that caught his attention. It was a cabinet of some sort, but it was locked. He looked at it, shrugged his shoulders, then pulled out his sword.
Denki struck the sword against the lock of the cabinet, breaking it easily. He put the sword back in its sheath, then opened the cabinet. Inside of the cabinet was an assortment of weapons, ranging from automatic weapons to tranquilizers. What caught his attention was the small balls in the bottom. He recognized them immediately as bombs.
He got a bag out of his pack and put a few of the bombs in it, then closed the cabinet. He tied the bag to his belt, then left the room. He hadn�t seen Joey for a while, but he knew where she was thanks to Tac. Denki found a map in Tac�s office showing the exact location of the TR47 cabin.
Denki smiled, then walked outside. He would have to find a way to get to the TR47 Headquarters. He had plenty of money since he was a bounty hunter, so it was just a matter of getting to the nearest airport and buying a ticket to Utah.
Back at the cabin, everybody was wondering where Joey, Michi, and Luke were. They hadn�t called yet, and they only knew that Joey had left in a hurry. Something important had happened. After a few hours of waiting impatiently and pacing around, the phone rang. Jads was the first one to rush over to it and answer.
�Hello?�
�WAZZZZUUUUUUUP!!!�
�Luke! Where have you been?�
�At the hospital.�
�The hospital? What happened? What�s wrong?�
�Nothing is wrong.�
�THEN WHAT GIVES???�
�It�s a girl.�
�WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH . . . wait, what did you say?�
�It�s a girl.�
Right then it sank in, and Jadsy realized what Luke was referring to. She dropped the phone and ran into the living room where everybody else was waiting.
�IT�S A GIRL!!!�
Everybody else realized what that meant much faster than Jadsy did. Ira jumped up and kissed her, which surprised Jadsy. It seemed a bit awkward since she was a Jadsy-Chu, but she didn�t care THAT much. Everybody else, however, just went nuts. The first thing they did was break out the party supplies and ruthlessly decorate Michi and Luke�s cabin with balloons and streamers.
At the hospital, Joey and Luke decided that they should head back to the cabin and let Michi sleep. She was still pretty tired, which was normal. When they got to the cabins, they were greeted by Magick, who ran outside and literally tackled Luke. He pushed her off, then got up and brushed himself off. The three of them walked inside, then everybody congratulated Luke and stuff.
After having a party until 2:00 A.M., they finally went to sleep. Everybody was a bit drunk, but not as drunk as they had been at New Year�s.
<The party I�m thinking of is in my other Fanfic, The Big One, but just assume that this one was similar.>
The next morning they woke up, then everybody got ready and went to visit Michi at the hospital. The staff there was a bit surprised to see such a big group, but they had seen bigger ones. Everybody crowded into Michi�s room, and she was happy to see them all.
Michi actually only had to stay in the hospital one more night. She would be able to return home with Cassie the next day. Everybody was looking forward to that day, because babies were always cute.
Joey, however, wasn�t feeling quite as happy as the others. She felt funny, as if something was going to happen. Some part of her was trying to warn her that a person was coming for her head.
Joey wasn�t sure why that was happening, but she had a pretty good idea. She knew that Tac was dead, however, so who else would some after her? It was then that Joey remembered another person: Denki.
Joey shuddered, because Denki had been after her for years. She tried to remember why he had been trying to kill her, but she couldn�t remember anymore. It had been too long. She tried to remember, but she still couldn�t. She shrugged it off, then went back to celebrating with the others.
When they returned to the cabin, there was a note pinned to the door with Joey�s name written on it. Joey pulled it off the door, then read the note.
Joey-
I know where you sleep. Enjoy your last few days on this world, because in a few days I�ll have your head as a trophy. You can�t avoid it, and you know it�s true. You should have returned the book before there was such a large price on your head, but it�s too late for that now. *maniacal laugh*
~Denki~
Joey dropped the note in horror. Denki knew where she lived. How did he find out? He must have been in Tac�s lab, because he was always asking Tac for tips and locations of people for a small price. Joey now knew why Denki was after her, and it somewhat frightened her. Tac was persistent, but Denki was ruthless and unforgiving.
Kay, that chapter was short and sweet. Kinda makes it easier for me and Joey to post it. Hmm . . . are my stories lacking plot? Yes, and that�s why I added in Denki. The new villain adds some more plot to the story. Actually, the new villain adds some MUCH NEEDED plot to the story. *sweatdrops* Sorry Magick, fur forgetting to give you a bf. I guess I�ll get started on Ch. XIII. LUCKY 13 PEOPLE!!! Uh, yeah. Luke Judd (me) says bye!
