Rooney holds the under 13's (in 1996)record for 400m at the National Little Athletics, 800m at the State level of Little Athletics, and the 200m Hurdles at the state level.
He also holds the under 14's state records for 800m, and 1500m (1997)
Luke used to be part of an atheltics squad called the flyers, who were a group of teens who were trained professionally in athletics
