Consider One Another

Mark 10:44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

The previous verse does an extremely good job of summarizing the thoughts that follow.
However, I would encourage you to continue in hopes that you might be edified.

In Philippians 2:7 We see Christ coming to the earth making himself of no reputation
and taking upon himself the form of a servant. Earlier in Phil. 2 Paul, after encouraging
the Philippians to be like minded, having the same love, being of one soul, of one mind (2:2),
He says in verse 3-5: Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind
let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every
man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Through various scriptures it is clear that when Christ came to this earth He had the mind of a servant.
And according to verse 5 we are supposed to have this same mind.

Which leads us to the link you followed to get here.

In Hebrews 10:24 it tells us to "consider one another to provoke unto love and good works."

When I looked at 'consider' in the phrase, "consider one another" I found two things that it dealt with:
When I say I looked at 'consider' I mean I took a look in the Strongs for the
Greek word and compared that to the times it was used and how it was translated
in the Englishman's
-Seeing with the eyes
Acts 7:31 When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,
Acts 7:32 Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold
Acts 11:6 Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air
Acts 27:39 And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship.
James 1:23-24 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

-Thinking upon something
Matthew 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Luke 6:41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Luke 12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Luke 12:27Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Luke 20:23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?
Romans 4:19And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:
Hebrews 3:1Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

By comparing how it was used in other scriptures I came to the conclusion that to consider one another meant to look to and or think upon each other's lives.

After coming to this conclusion I began to think these things through scripture and recalled a couple of scriptures that would seem to say the same thing:
Galatians 6:2Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Philippians 2:2-7Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
I Corinthians 5:12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

For here have we no continuing city,
but we seek one to come.

Until the faithful enter into that city... this link will take you to the homepage of this site.HOME
