They are like a reflection and mirror my most intimate thoughts. Thus the need to represent with colors, textures and voids all my affections, my loves and fears.
Sometimes, my formal background in architecture become evident reflected in spaces created with colors, textures, shadows and light. The spaces, often connected with each other thru stairs and ladders, all invite you to a magical voyage through each intimate space. The spaces, even some of which are empty, invite you to search for a hidden presence or experience the emptiness that sometimes exists within us. In some of my work there are phantom like, human images; they appear as a soul with a beacon of light and serve as guides on that voyage and to lead you to a better space.
My creative process is endless; an activity that embraces and envelops me fully and completely. My paintings are the result of laying my ideas and emotions on a surface, and as I bare my soul, they become an extension of myself for all to know and understand.
