陳蕾，一九七四年出生於廣州，廣東省梅縣人氏，聽障人士。
自幼喜愛繪畫，初在菁華畫苑學習中國畫及西洋畫，後進入廣州美術學院讀中國畫系，作品「小寫意花卉」為院方收藏。一九九八年作品《秋風》入選香港當代雙年展，二零零二年參加廣州美術學院「丙子同窗」畫展，二零零三年三月在香港藝術中舉辦個人畫展。現為香港紅荔書畫會會員。

Chan Lui Shirley was born in Guangzhou in 1974. At the age of 1, she had a high fever and lost partial hearing in her left ear.

She has been fond of drawing since she was a child. In her teens, she took lessons on western and Chinese paintings in Ching Wah Gallery organised by Ms. Ma Shun-wah and Ms. Ma Shuk-wah.

She attended the Guangzhou Academy of Art from 1992 to 1996, specializing in Chinese paintings. One of her works has been kept by the Academy. In 1998, her work "Autumn Breeze" was selected to display at the Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition. She graduated from the First Institute of Art and Design in 1999. In 2002, she took part in an exhibition organized by the Guangzhou Academy of Art. In 2003, she held a personal exhibition in Hong Kong Arts Centre.

Her works do not have any glaring colours nor imposing manner nor astonishing strokes, only simplicity and straightforwardness are displayed. She draws materials from life and gives her works life and spirit.
