Remarks
  Non-breaking space     Useful if you need more than one space in between words. Notice the three spaces between the words "Stop" and "Run" in the sentence "Stop.   Run.".

Also useful if you want a certain number of words to join together always, no matter what happens. To see an example of such in action, go to this link.
< Less than sign &lt; &#60; One of the characters used in HTML tags, such as </html>.

Useful if you need to display it in mathematical equations, such as 8 < 9 .
& Ampersand &amp; &#38; Character prefix used together with # in...
  • displaying characters that are not typeable at the keyboard or that must be seen in the Web page, such as &#copy; or &#169; ;

  • specifying background color of Web page or cell in a table, such as <td bgcolor="&#FFFF00">;
  • specifying foreground color of text, such as <font bgcolor="&#0000FF">.
Useful if you need to display it in abbreviations or acronyms. Example, AT&T, R&D.
