| Martin Truex Jr. is 2004 Champion Great battling between Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch comes to a end as Truex wins the war. This was Truex's first season in the Busch series and he already wraps a championship under his belt with the help of his car owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. Truex had not even planed to race full time in 2004 until the last second before the season opener Daytona race. | Bobby Hamilton wins Championship After a great exciting year in the truck series Bobby Hamilton wins his first career championship. At the end of this year the sponcers on both of Hamilton's trucks are leaving. Hamilton say hopefully by winnig this year will land a full time sponcer on the #4 truck for next year. I congratulate Bobby Hamilton for an awesome year |

| Kurt Busch win first ever Chase for the Cup An outstanding race for the championship has come to an end with Kurt Busch at the top of the charts. Even though Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon finish ahead of Busch it was not enough. Busch built up enough points at the begining of the chase to hold the rest of them off. Congratulations to Kurt Busch and the entire 97 team. I hate to see such a great year of Nascar racin come to an end after all this was the clostes championship in Nascar history by 8 points.
