It's becoming crunch time in the WSHL as the World League will be expanding by two teams. The loss of our Chicago owner has forced the commissioner to decide that expansion will consist of three teams, the original two, plus Chicago, who will deposit their entire roster into the expansion pool. Remember that your protection lists are due to the commissioner on October 5th! Over in the other pond, the North American League will be drafting their rosters from scratch. Be sure to voice your opinion on draft days/times. If you aren't heard from, it'll be assumed that you're okay with the days that the rest of us choose. All teams should be working on their draft lists. A draft list is an ordered list of players that you'll draft from. Making a list serves two important things. The first, it gives you an idea on which players you'd like to draft. The second, if for some reason you're not able to attend the live draft, you'll have a means for stocking your team. ************************************************************************** Important Dates October 5th - Protection Lists Required October 9th - Expansion Draft October 11-15 - 1st day of World League Draft October 13-16 - 1st day of North American League Draft October 15-19 - 2nd day of World League Draft Late October/Early November - Start of WSHL season. ************************************************************************** Draft Days! There will be three sets of draft days, one for Expansion, one for the World League Entry Draft, and the North American League's initial dispursion draft. If you have problems with any of the dates suggested, inform the list, or commissioners. Thus far, all draft nights are scheduled to begin at 9 pm EST. Penalty for late lists, you'll protect the first 10 players in alphabetical order. Late Round Pick Reminder: Any late round picks you keep will have consequences on your 2003 entry draft.
