Reached the rank of Major, shooting down 4 enemy aircraft in 400+ flown missions. The highest award conferred was the Ritterkreuz des Eisernes Kreuzes. He put to practice the belief that Bomber Formations were effectivly dispersed by the use of conventional bombs.
