| Born in Morelia, Michoac�n, M�xico in 1977. He made his music studies in Morelia and in M�xico City, continuing them in the USA and Europe, receiving his Bachelor and Master in Music. He has performed concerts in Austria, Canada, China, Estonia, Ger-many, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, M�xico, Palestine, Poland, Spain, Swit-zerland, and the USA. He has appeared as soloist in prestigious halls such as the Grosser Saal of the Musikverein (Wien, Aus-tria), Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Washington, DC, USA), and the Auditorio Nacional de M�sic (Madrid, Spain), with the Michoac�n Sym-phony, UMSNH Chamber Orchestra, �Oll�n Yoliztli" Symphony, "Carlos Ch�vez" Symphony, Aguasca-lientes Symphony, Shenandoah University Symphony Orchestra, NCSA Percussion Ensemble, Shenandoah University Chamber Orchestra, OCSM, and Wiener Mozart Orchester. He was also invited to perform at the USA's Vice-president Residency (Mr. Al Gore) in Washington, DC, USA. He is member of the Camerata de Michoac�n and, with his two sisters, of the Tr�o Morelia, ensembles with which he has performed in America, Asia, and Europe. He is also member of the Grupo Dhamar (Spain) and of the Lucerne Festival New Music En-semble (Switzerland). |

| He has participated in programs and recorded concerts for different state- and nation-wide radio and tele-vision stations in Mexico and the USA, as well as for the Spanish Radio and Television, Canal Neu of Spain, the German Television Service, ARTE/ZDF Channel of Germany, Schweitzer Radio DRS 2 of Switzerland, and the Japan Network. Also, he has performed in recordings for the labels Amati, CC Michoac�n, Cl�sicos Mexicanos, Columna M�sica, Forlane, K 617, SF, Ta�idos, and Warner Music. He was invited in representation of M�xico to: Jeunesse Musicales World Orchestra (Second Violins Princi-pal/1999-2001), Orchestral Institute of the Wiener Phiharmoniker (2000, 2002), IMPULSE New Music Ensem-ble (2000), Lucerne Festival New Music Academy Orchestra (2004, 2005), and Musica Europa Orchestra (Assistant Concertmaster and Guest Concertmaster/2004) making recordings and concert tours at festivals and halls such as the Salzburger Festspiele, Philharmonie Berlin, Filharmonia Warsaw, Centre National des Arts du Canada, KKL Lucerne, and K�lner Philharmonie, under the baton of conductors Pierre Boulez, Kurt Masur, Mariss Jansons, Christoph von Dohnanyi, Yakov Kreisberg, Marcello Viotti, Peter Schneider, Carlos Kalmar, Johannes Kalitzke, and Yoav Talmi. He has been a member of, among others, the following orchestras: Amadeus Kammer Symphonie (Concert-master), Roanoke Island Music Festival Orchestra (Concertmaster), NCSA Opera Orchestra (Concertmaster), SU Symphony and Chamber Orchestra (Concertmaster), Bach-Handel Festival Orchestra (Concertmaster), "Carlos Ch�vez" Symphony (First Violins Principal and Guest Concertmaster), Michoac�n Symphony (Assistant Concertmaster and Second Violins Principal), Spoleto Festival USA Orchestra (Second Violins Principal and Assistant Concertmaster), Morelia International Music Festival Orchestra, National Fine Arts Institute Chamber Orchestra, 42 Jugendfestspieltreffen Bayreuth Symphony, Carolina Chamber Symphony, Solisti Symphony, Louisville Orchestra, and National Symphony of M�xico. He has also performed with several early music ensembles such as: Grupo Hermes, Capilla Virreinal de la Nueva Espa�a, Musica Viva, Ensemble Elyma, and Capella Cervantina. In the new music field he has performed with ensembles such as the SU New Music and the NCSA Contemporary Music Ensemble. Besides being a winner of several competitions in Mexico and the USA, he has been a recipient of grants from renowned institutions, such as the Fulbright Foundation, Goldberg Trust, Semans Arts Fund, Fundaci�n Carolina, Accademia Musicale Chigiana, Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes de Michoac�n (State Endow-ment for the Arts in Michoac�n), and the Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes de M�xico (National En-dowment for the Arts in M�xico). Recently he has been reinvited by the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra to perform as First Concert-master in its 2005-2006 tours in Spain, China, Holland, Germany, and Austria, besides being first violin of the JMWO String Quartet. Among his upcoming activities are performances as soloist in Mexico and Sapin with concertos by Beethoven (Triple) and Panufnik, recitals in France, Portugal, and Israel, a series of concerts with the Tr�o Morelia in Germany, Mexico, and the USA, as well as concerts in the Czech Republic and Spain with the Grupo Dhamar, and performances in Armenia, Spain, and Switzerland with the Lucerne Festival New Music Ensemble. |
