This was the first road game in the history of the Beat. I was planning on watching this on television after driving home from the State GOP convention in metro Atlanta (Cobb County). Not to be. We didn't get finished until about 8:00, and by the time I got home, it was about over.
This match had tons of good news. Sawa Homare scored the first goal in Beat history. The goal involved all four offensive stars of the team (Sun, Hooper, Parlow, and Sawa). It was a beautiful goal. I only wish I had seen it live instead of on a replay.
More good news. Three matches played, zero goals allowed. They keep this up, and nothing will stop the Beat from not only rocking Georgia, but rocking the entire WUSA.
