| What does this mean for Lucy Locket's Childcare? The new Framework has a strong emphasis on Working with parents - sharing knowledge about children's development and interests, in order to provide a challenging provision both here and at home Working with other settings that a child attends (e.g. preschools) - sharing knowledge about children's welfare, interests and development Using the child's interests as a starting point for planning I will be updating my record keeping and practice in accordance with the new framework. This will include:- A revised Daily Diary sheet and termly report, to encourage greater parental input A new Learning Journey Folder for each child to include contributions from parents and children A revised Working in Partnership with Parents and Children Policy The introduction of an Annual Feedback Questionnaire for Parents A revised Initial Profile form for children new to the setting A form seeking permission to exchange information with pre-schools that the children attend An observation record in each child's Diary for parents and myself to note observations (linked with the Areas of Learning) |
