En Argentina y para Eres!!!

¿Acaso hace falta presentarlos? Ellos son el grupo n° 1 del momento y una de las tapas más esperadas en ERES. Nick, BRIAN, Howie D., Kevin y A.J estuvieron en Argentina ¡sólo por 11 horas! Y aunque la visita fue puro vértigo, los chicos se hicieron un tiempo para recibirnos en su hotel. Allí charlamos a fondo con los BsB y logramos esta producción de fotos, exclusiva para nosotros y para vos. ¡Qué lo disfrutes!

Nick: desde que llegamos a Argentina nos trajeron mucha comida. Había un tipo de carne...(piensa, le preguntamos si era asado) ¡sí!, la probé y me pareció muy sabrosa.

Conocen el tango?

Kevin: ¡tango! (mueve la cabeza como los bailarines del 2 x 4). Yo soy profesor, aprendí a bailarlo hace tres años. Es una música bellísima, lástima que no entiendo las letras...

Brian: ésta es una ciudad con mucho para conocer. Lástima que estamos por tan poco tiempo. Apenas llegamos del aeropuerto nos metieron en una combi directo al hotel, después el show y más tarde nos vamos...(mira una foto de la Avenida 9 de julio que cuelga en la pared del vip-room). Me dijeron que estamos a muy pocas cuadras de allí. Es realmente una hermosa avenida.

Siempre estás de tan buen humor?

Siempre (suelta una risita que parece de dibujito animado). Me gusta hacer chistes, reírme. Con Nick estamos todo el tiempo gastándonos y fastidiándonos, somos como dos hermanos.

Te vimos también repartiendo besos a las fans que lograron entrar al hotel...

Es que me contagié de la fogocidad de las argentinas!...en serio, me gusta acercarme a ellas, hablar, ver qué piensan...

Y te sorprende lo que te dicen?

Si, ¡nos conocen a la perfección!

Cómo definirías a cada uno de tus compañeros?

Kevin es el más responsable, el que controla las situaciones; Howie D es buenísimo, un tipo fácil de tratar, muy dulce, Nick es perfeccionista e inquieto, un caos; y A.J es el que más habla, ¡ especialmente con las chicas!

Y vos?

El más payaso.

Howie D: Nos impresionan las fans. Son muy apasionadas, se excitan mucho con nuestra música. Viéndolas acá en el hotel me dí cuenta que son distintas en comparación con las europeas y las norteamericanas.

Realmente es así o lo dicen por cumplido?

Nick: ¡ Para nada! En los Estados Unidos son mucho más tranquilas. Si bien están esperándonos en todos los hoteles, nunca llegan a doscientas chicas. Acá hay muchas más...gritan, quieren entrar al hotel...no es tan común para nosotros vivir algo así. ¡ Es impresionante !

Kevin: También nos da un poco de temor por su seguridad. Queremos que disfruten y no que se lastimen. Cuando hay demasiada locura, algo no está funcionando bien. No hay que morirse por nadie.

A.J: Por suerte nunca pasó nada malo en nuestros show y espero que nunca ocurra.

Bienvenido a Argentina...

Gracias, es bueno llegar aquí, pero una pena que sea por tan poco tiempo.

Tendrán que volver, entonces.

Es una promesa. Sabíamos que nuestra música tenía muchos fans en Sudamérica pero no esperábamos tanta demostración.

Sabías que sos el sueño imposible de muchas chicas?

Yo? (sonríe); no es el lugar que yo quiero. Me gusta hacer feliz a un fan y no que sufra por sentirme inalcanzable. Pero claro que me halaga que me quieran.

Qué harías si conoces a la chica de tus sueños en un país lejano?

Argentina, por ejemplo? Supongo que no me negaría al destino. Si es amor de verdad valdría la pena defenderlo. Nuestra vida está muy agitada últimamente, así que esa chica debería entender mi carrera. El amor tiene que ser fuerte.

Los BsB tendrán como las Spice una película que cuente sus vidas?

Seguramente, lo que no sé es cuándo. Estamos corriendo de un lado para el otro todo el tiempo.

Y un nuevo álbum?

No cuenten nada, pero ya tenemos cinco canciones listas para ser grabadas.

Quién te enseñó a hablar en español?

No hablo mucho (dice en español con pronunciación americana) pero lo poco que sé me lo enseñó mi madre que es portorriqueña. Me gusta decir "te quiero".

Tus compañeros dicen que sos el más dulce de la banda...

Lo seré (dice tímido) sobre todo con las chicas...a veces me cargan y me llaman Sweet D. Soy de buen carácter y me preocupo por la buena onda en el grupo.

Y eso es difícil?

Tenemos nuestros días. Somos cinco, tenemos distintas personalidades, pero un sólo amor en común: Backstreet. Y eso es suficiente.

Cuál fue la última banda que sonó en tu discman?

Aerosmith, la escuché en el avión mientras volábamos hacia aquí.

Tenés el CD de los Hanson?

Nooooo (se ríe)...tampoco los escuché demasiado como para opinar de ellos.

En Latinoamérica Luis Miguel y Ricky Martin son figuras muy importantes, ¿sabes algo de ellos?

Sólo de Luis Miguel, me han hablado maravillas de su voz...quisiera escucharlo.

Baladas o puro pop?

Las dos cosas. Aunque debo reconocer que cuando canto una canción de amor me emociono. Sobre todo si las letras tiene que ver con algo que viví.

Con una vida tan agitada, ¿en qué lugar te sentís más a gusto?

En mi casa. Allí escucho música, bailo, toco el piano, invito a comer a mis tres mejores amigos y charlamos hasta la madrugada. Soy también de ir mucho al cine.

Fuiste a ver la película de las Spice Girls?

(risas) No, pero pienso ir.

Te gusta la música que hacen?

Si, no escuché mucho pero me pareció buena música. Sobre todo, divertida.

Cuál es tu Spice favorita?

Mel...(piensa tres segundos) B.

A.J: lo que más nos preocupa es estar cerca de nuestro público, que sientan que estamos cerca y nos pueden tocar.

Kevin: como siempre tienen muchos regalitos para darnos: muñecos y cartas; muchas veces bajamos para recibirlos en mano.

Nick: es nuestros últimos conciertos aparecemos con ramos gigantes de rosas y una por una las vamos regalando a nuestras fans. Es lo menos que se merecen!

TANGO, ASADO & OBELISCO:

Nick: Since we arrived to Argentina they brought to us lots of food, there was a kind of meat...(he thinks, we ask him if it was asado) yeah! I tasted it and I think it's very good

Kevin: Tango! (he moves his head like the 2 x 4 dancers) I'm professor, I learnt to dance it 3 years ago. It's a beautiful music, it's a sorrow I can't understand the lyrics...

Brian: This is a city with so much to know. It's a sorrrow we're not here for so much time. Barely we arrived to the airport they got us into a van straight to the hotel, then the show and later we leave (he looks at the 9 of July Avenue' picture which is hanging on a wall of the room vip) they said we're a few blocks from there. It's a really beautiful avenue.

BRIAN:

Always (he laughs like an animated cartoon) I like joking, laughing. With Nick we're all time joking and picking to each other. We're like 2 brothers.

It's cuz I got the Argentian' passion!...really I like to go closed to them, talk to them, see what they think...

Yes I do, they know me perfectly!

Kevin's the most responsible, the one who take control of the situation; Howie D is great, easy to deal with, very sweet; Nick's perfectionist and restless, a chaos, and AJ's the one who talks the most, specially with the girls!

THE ARGENTIAN FANS:

Howie D: Fans made a great impression on us. They're so hot, they get so in emotion with our music. Looking at them here in the hotel I realized they're so different than european and american ones.

Nick: Of course it is! They're quieter in USA. Although they're waiting for us at every hotel, they're never more than 200. There are more here...they scream, they wanna get into the hotel...it's uncommon for us to live any like that. It's amazing!

Kevin: We're afraid for their safety too. We want them to enjoy it and not to they get injured. Where there is too much craziness, it's cuz there's something ain't working. You have to die for nobody.

A.J: Thanks God never happened any bad at out show and I hope it'll never happen.

NICK:

Thank you. It's good to arrive to here, but a sorrow it's not for so much time.

It's a promise! We knew our music had lots of fans in South America but we weren't waiting so much exhibition.

Me? (he smiles) that's not the place I want. I like to make a fan happy and she doesn't suffer from feeling me impossible to reach. But of course it's flattering they love me.

Do you mean Argentina? I guess I wouldn't deny my destiny. If it's true love it'd be worth to be defended. Our life's so crazy, so that girl should understand my career. Love must to be strong.

Sure, but I don't know when. We're running from a place to other all the time.

Don't tell anything, but we have 5 songs readies to be recorded.

HOWIE D:

No hablo mucho (I don't speak so much; he said in spanish with a touch very american) but the little I speak I learnt cuz of my mother who is portorrican. I like saying "te quiero" (I love you)

I'd be (he says shy) mainly with the girls...sometimes they pick me and call me Sweet D. [...]

We have our days. We're five, we have individual personalities, but too an only love in common: Backstreet. And that's enough.

A.J:

Aerosmith, I heard them while we were flying to here.

Nooo (he laughs)...neither I heard them enough to can talk about them.

Only of luis miguel. I heard wonderful critics about his voice. I'd like to hear him...

Both of them. Although I have to admit I get in emotion when I sing a love song. And most when the lyrics have to do with something of my life.

KEVIN:

At home. There I listen music I dance I play my piano, I invite to my 3 best friends and we talk till early morning. I'm used to go to the movies too.

(laughs) No, but i think I will

Yes I do, I didn't hear a lot but I think it's good music. Mainly it's funny.

BsB LIVE:

A.J: The most we care is being closed to our crowd, that they feel we're closed to them and they can reach us.

Kevin: As always they have lots of gifts to give to us: animal sttufed and letters, many time we go down to get them in hand.

Nick: In our last shows, we appear with big bouquets of roses and one by one we go ginving them to our fans, they deserve it!
