*The History*

I created this site during my Winter Break, on July (2004), and published it on August 1st -the 5th anniversary of my Vegetarianism, and Dhani Harrison's birthday. I was going through a violent explosion of interest in graphic and web-design, seeing there were lots of possibilites I hadn't explored when I did my first web-site, such as... being aesthetically correct!

A year after I made this site public (naming it "Groovydelia"), I transformed some aspects of it, and changed the name. I needed a change, and the results were extremely positive:

*The Name*

<<Poisonous-Moonchild>> became the second name of my second web-site when I got tired of the term groovydelia (I really hated the whole web-site for a while because of it), and decided to look for something less abstract and childlish. After discussing it for a while with myself and Reivaj, I accepted Poisonous-Moonchild as the title that suited me the best. "Poisonous" is a name I often receive because of my aggressive instincts when debating -my friends call me "snake", loaded with poison. I am often attacked because of my uncommon points of view, which isn't a real problem to me, as I honestly am a wizard able to cope with ten people who still insist thateating meat is awesome. "Moonchild", a King Crimson song, refers to my other self, the introspective floating girl that is too shy to leave her daydream land. Deep contrast is always an option to me.

<<Surrealistic-Horrorshow>>is the encounter of two of my obsessions - Federico García Lorca (a Spanish poet who embraced surrealism with a spectacular hability) and A Clockwork Orange, a story in which the characters reach the horrorshow state by drinking the enigmatic milk-plus at the Korova Milkbar.

*The Layout*

The thing is I got tired of the mesmerizing rainbow that shines in my old site. I realized I needed a bit more darkness for my new site, because my music taste had directed me to much obscure sides of art. So I picked a combination of two of my favourite colours, and gave the layout a black-lights look, which I was very satisfied with. Since I uploaded the site, I've done three versions of my collage, being the third one the biggest step. I tried to reflect every corner of my world on it, so without reading a single page, you already know I... dig purple.

So, I used Photoshop 7.0 and created a collage that features The Beatles, my right eye, a Gibson Les Paul, a peace sign, the cover of Camembert Electrique (Gong), and fragments of "Howl" (Allen Ginsberg), "When the Music's Over" (The Doors), and Wuthering Heights, as well as two pictures of Reivaj at The Roses, and music sheets, a typewriter, flowers, butterflies, and the number one rule: no cell phones.

*The Purpose*

I created this site when I realized that my old web-site, The Sky with Diamonds, was so out of date, that it never stopped being what it was created to be: the result of the delirium of a seventeen-years-old girl. I no longer had desire of uploading stuff, I got tired of the annoying midis, and let's face it, the site sucks. But as I still happen to feel a kind of tenderness towards it, I'll let it survive as a complimentary page to this one. There you will find all the pictures of me when I was a baby, along with The Beatles mini-section, etc.

So, instead of a naïf colourful piece of innocence, I'll try to satisfy my ego with something that adapts better to my mind as it is now. That is, insane.
