A natural in front of the camera, Barry Watson is convinced that his success as an actor is just plain old good luck. In addition to starring in The WB's 7th Heaven, Watson filmed a starring role in Sorority Boys, a feature film comedy with Michael Rosenbaum (The WB's Smallville) and Harland Williams.
Watson made his feature film debut in Kevin Williamson's black comedy Teaching Mrs. Tingle starring opposite Katie Holmes (Dawson's Creek) and Helen Mirren. He will also will be seen in the upcoming thriller Shearer's Breakfast, with Radha Mitchell (High Art) and Josh Lucas (American Psycho).
Prior to landing his role on 7th Heaven, the Traverse City, Mich. native made recurring appearances on the television series Malibu Shores and has guest-starred on many popular shows. He was also featured in the HBO original movie Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman, starring Daryl Hannah.
Watson's rugged good looks has landed him in TV Guide as One of the Sexiest People on TV as well as in People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful issue.
When he's not working, Watson enjoys spending his free time in the great outdoors and fixing up his home. He lives in Los Angeles with his dog Harsky, named after the title characters in his favorite television series, Starsky and Hutch. |
